The service engine soon light

MOST TIME THERE IS NO PROBLEM DEPENDING ON WHAT THE ECM HAS DETECTED
CHECK ALL FLUIDE AND VISUAL LOOK AT ENGINE COMPARTMENT BELTS AND HOSES
WIRES THAT ARE VISIBLE ALL DASH GAUGE WORKING FINE AND IN RANGE THEN IT
COULD BE SAFE FOR THE TRIP ALSO NOTICE IF SMOKE HEAVY OUT THE TAIL PIPE
WHEN IDLING AND PRESSING ON GAS NO ENGINE MISS OR SURGES IN SPEED
IF IT ALL CHECKS OUT COULD JUST BE SOMETHING WARNING THAT IT NEEDS ATTENTION IN THE NEER FUTURE OR JUST A GLITCH IN SYSTEM MOST PARTS STORE CAN SCAN AND TELL YOU WHATS WRONG AND LET YOU KNOW IF IT CAN WAIT SOME CODES LIKE O2 SENSOR WILL JUST MAKE IT A LITTLE HARDER ON FUEL
HOPES THIS HELPS

Where is the starter located

The starter is located on the joint of the engine and the transmission and is bolted onto the belhousing/torque converter housing, about midway in the engine compartment. There is quite a lot of panel and cover material you will have to remove to gain access to it. This is more or less what you are looking for:-

Rear drive shaft lock up doing 80mph on freeway.

disconnect rear drive shaft to see if tires move if not the rear end pinion gears might have a bad bearing causing the lock up.the fastest way to repair it is to replace gear box with good used one from a salvage yard.the reason I'm telling you this is because although your gear box might be repairable, it would have to be done by a professional and cost would be high.
