Sounds like you have a vacuum leak between the carby and the head. Check the O ring that is between the carb and manifold. Replace if it doesn't sit proud of the locating groove.

mix is too weak, not sure if you have a carb or electronic ignition so if carb, probably needs a clean and new filters, if electronic get it checked

Honda Hornet wont start

I am having trouble with your english translation of the symptom. However, if your bike starts and runs fine once it is warmed up and initially starts fine in warm weather this indicates a clogged choke circuit in the carburator and will require a thourough and proper cleaning of the carb.

I have a 78 honda it has been sitting, won't idle

The stock pilot screw setting is one and one half turns. The usual problem for not idling is that the slow speed circuits in the carbs are still plugged up. Secondary cause is usually that the carbs are not in sync > The carb slides don't all move upward at exactly the same moment. If you haven't installed new spark plugs, do it. Soak the carbs in denatured alcohol after removing the slides and float bowls. Finish with spray carb cleaner and compressed air. Spray into all the drill holes, ( circuits ), in each carb. Install an in-line fuel filter to prevent trash from the gas tank getting into the carbs.

Bike wont kick start or idle , it will coast

first drain the carby, then set your air mixture screw 2 turns out, from the fully turned in position. The starting proceedure is as follows, when the engine is COLD, turn on fuel, pull on the choke fully, and kick the engine over. DO NOT use any throttle, when the engine is cold, and the choke is on. Remember Choke on, NO throttle.
When warm, no choke, and a little throttle when kicking.

1999 HONDA 1100C3. RUNS ROUGH AND QUITS WHEN I REMOVE CHOKE.

I think you are exactly right. Sounds like you have some clogging in your idle jets and probably in need of a carb tune up. if you havnt replaced or cleaned your air filter in a while, now would be a good time to do that as well, being that some filters begin to break down and pieces of them get into the carb ports and cause clogging.

1984 aspencade starts w/choke and revs up, runs smooth. Take off

My 'wing won't run unless it has been warmed up some. I would suggest that you r&r your carbs to make sure the jets in the bottom are working correctly. They tend to get plugged up, especially after sitting & the aluminum flaking off inside... Rick
