Just done a top end rebuild on our 2009 Honda CRF100F. When we neasrly had it finished we found a very small, rock hard O ring in the parts tray. It is not listed in the manual. It is only about 3mm a

Sounds like a water or oil galley seal between the block and head. Is it flat on one side? if it is then it was squeezed together by something. May be it was on a small screw to seal it. If it's hard then it was getting hot or oil was burning the O-ring, I would take the head back off. Better safe than sorry. Been there done that. Good luck

My honda crf 100f motorcycle wont rev up and the carb jets etc are clean , its got new fuel also , any idears please ?

It's got to be in the throttle cable, sometimes depending on the carb, the top assembly cap isn't seated properly and the return spring won't let the slider actuate up and down. also the floats in the bowl assembly may not be seated properly?

Honda CRF 100 timing

Turn the motor over clockwise until the punch mark on the gear lines up with the arrow mark on the side case. Check to be sure that the cam lobes are facing to the rear of the bike, if they are pointing toward the front keep going until they face back and the punch mark aligns up with the mark on the case.ab798e0.jpg

Check the cam gear to make sure the two marks on the gear are level with the surface of the head.

2006 Honda CRF 100. Running good,

The carb jet needle clip position controls partial throttle conditions. If it hasn't been moved from it's stock position, the needle is probably worn and should be replaced along with the main jet and the e-clip put back to the stock position. It's really hard to see if they're worn because the parts are so small. They're cheap parts and the fix is pretty simple so good luck!

My 2005 crf 70 slams

First be sure there is adequate oil in the gearbox. Hard shifting is indicative of a bent shift fork or two. The engine will need to come out of the bike. Remove the top end, the flywheel and electrics, the clutch, shift shaft and kick starter and a few other parts. THEN you are ready to split the gearbox to get to the crankshaft, gears and shift forks.

You will need an impact driver, flywheel puller, case splitter, torque wrench and factory service manual, plus the normal screwdriver, pliers, etc.. Alternate to the special tools is taking it to the dealer and say "Fix it". I normally tell people to take it to the shop just so they don't get into such an involved project and they have a knowing eye working on the engine. Below is a diagram showing how the shift drum moves the shift forks left & right to change gears. Please rate this answer. Thanks.
