When the ignition parts like the coil and the transistors in the cdi unit gets warmed up they dont work as well as when there cool,,,so a problem thats not there when cold will be there when its hot,,,,if the stator has a small fault in it when cold when it gets hot it turns into a big fault! the best way to find this fault is by swoping one part at a time till you fine the faulty part,,,or put it into the bike shop and pay through the knows for the fix? have you a friend with the same type of bike you could swop the parts with??? it a big big help if you have! i would start with the coil then the cdi unit,,,there the most likley parts to play up when they get to hot they go faulty!

Miss fire after up to temp and runfor short amount of time. I get a miss fire coming to a stop..drops to cylinders or 1. will not accelerate at all boggs with miss fire.

Check your tank vent. Ride the bike until it stalls, pull over and pop open the gas tank lid. If you hear a "ffffwwwwwah" of air being sucked in when you open the tank, your air vent is blocked. The bike runs great when you start out, but as fuel is taken out of the tank no air can get in to replace it and the tank develops a vacuum.

No idle &bacfires on deceleration

hi mate on the carb you will find 2 screw 1 is for the idle and the over is for mixture the idle one will be the furthest out screw it in 1/4of a turns will the engine is running this will take the idle up on the engine and the backfiring is fuel in the exhaust not being burnt so on the over screw on the carb screw that in 1/4 of turns this will decrease the amount of fuel going into the engine if it still backfires screw it in 1/4 of turns again and see what difference it makes good luck

My 2007 KXF 250 keeps backfiring? why is this?

Backfires are caused by mixture burning in the exhaust pipe. I would suggest that you check the seal between the exhaust valves and the head when the piston is on the compression stroke. You may have a burnt valve (I understand KXFs are prone to this problem!). Try talking to Teamgreen Kawasaki, they may be able to point you in the right direction. Good Luck!

Why is my kick starter ceasing? I just changed the oil in my 2004 kxf 250, and went to ride it and it would just die and the kick starter ceased. Please help..

I have same bike and know some about it. and i race a lot. your bike has a crank or rod whatever you want to call it but it could be cracked, broke, or even could have dirt on it.
