Slow acelleration, engine bogged down when throttle is applied. 2009 Aprillia Sport City 50 cc wasn't an option in the product category below, but that is what I own and waht I am having an issue with.

It is a fuel / air problem. Do you have a primer bulb, did you replace it and put it in the right way around arrow to the carb? It is a known issue. There are lots of help online and there are some videos below..

That old gas had sediment in it and you need to remove the tank, fuel pump and filters and change them.

What are the fault codes you read.

Your description sounds more like water condensation in the gas than electrical. Drain the carb and install a new spark plug. If I am wrong, then you have only lost the time used in draining the carb, and a new spark plug is always a good thing anyway.
