My repair manual and local shop specify 15-16 oz per tube. weight can be changed to suit your ride quiality preferences.

You need a good brand of 15W fork oil. As for capacity i always remove the tops of the forks, remove the springs and fill each leg to 150mm from the top with the forks fully compressed. Refit springs and tops.

All Honda VT1100C models require 449cc (15.2 oz) of fork oil per fork leg. However, the VT1100C2 requires 482cc (16.3 oz.) of fork oil per leg. Honda recommends using SS-8 fork oil.
