The Knex website has building help for this problem. There answer is as follows:
Make sure all rods and connectors are fully hooked together, especially the blue and gray connectors. Even one peice not fully hooked together can twist the model just enough to jam the gears. (You may have it hooked together correctly prior to jam problems so it is good to check since I found a loose on holding the motor.) The chain links need to all be attached in the same direction, and fully hooked. The chain also needs to be on the tower with the hooks facing down and in as the chain runs on the outside of the tower. (Chain should be outside on the front and inside in the back with the 5 yellow bar side in the front.) Check that all gears are positioned correctly according to the instructions and the teeth facing the correct way. If you are still unable to get the seat to drop, you may remove the top yellow cross rod that the chain runs over - the model will also work with this piece removed.
I did all of these steps with my son and his still had trouble dropping all the time. It still seems light so the seat didn't have enough weight to drop with gravity during the non-moving cycle of the orange half gear. We decided to tape on 2 marble passengers to see if that helped. It did!!! When searching for other solutions, I noticed a UTube video that added people also so this seems to be a common solution. Try it or some other light weight added and see if it solves your problem.
have an electrician check the start/run capacitors as the clicking sound can be electrical discharging from vermin infestation /shorting past the insulation
Hi If you have a problem with your Safety 1st Wooden Swing Gate we recommend you return to your retailer with your proof of purchase to discuss assistance, exchange or refund.
hi, it sounds to me like the bike has been ridden hard and needs the chain replacing due to it strecthing. on the swing arm at the back is their two bolts sticking out the end of each swing arm their should be one in one side of the swing arm and one in the other side of the swing arm, this is right at the very back of the swing arm. if you find these then these are the adjusters for the back wheel you then need to loosen the back wheel bolt but dont take it out then adjust these adjusters by the same amount do it in half a turn a time you need to do both the same else the back wheel wont be level keep tightening them in and this will then pull the wheel back and this will tighten the chain if its all ready adjusted fully then the chain is scrap and needs replacing, if you dont have adjusters then the chain needs replacing, it will keep coming off if its slack
you can cause damage to the bike if the chain comes off whilst riding at speed so it may be best to get the chain before you use the bike
If you connect to solar panel for the lights to go on do the lights go out at night? If so, and the they do not light when hooked to the batteries then the batteries may have no charge and may also not be holding a charge. Put in new batteries to test.
if its a 6 channel connection its a little tricky try reconnecting your speakers that has a green connections. try playing a music while troubleshooting the connection...hope this helps..ITTech7574
you said it all, most bikes have a master link, if not you need a chain breaker, which you can also use if the new chain you purchase is to long. lift bike on center stand, loosen axle nut, then loosen chain adjustment screw nuts on both sides and turn them so the wheel/axle moves all the way forward. connect the old chain to the new chain and pull it through (while gearbox is in neutral). adjust the chain adjust screws on the axle the same amount indicated by the markers on swing arm until chain has a deflection of half inch up and down in the middle at the tightest spot, try turning the wheel a few cycles to find it. then lock axle nut then tensioner lock nuts.
Test the speakers on a bench if possible with a different receiver and some new wire. Or if you have a multimeter check the impedance, should be 8ohms if it's got a short, it will read 1..... or ....1 If the speaker wire when connected to the outdoor speaker is not siliconed, it acts as a wic and will oxidize the wiring and cause a short. do you have a separate volume control for them? and is that volume control indoor or outdoor? is it connected to a receiver or amplifier? The fastest test though would be to hook up the rock spkrs directly to another unit. If you still have trouble, reply and I will help you troubleshoot further. Hope this helps
