First make certain there is no immobiliser to cause trouble - a few cars had them by 1990.

If there is no immobiliser the trouble could be anything from a broken or worn steering lock, faulty ignition switch through to a faulty starter and/or solenoid.

Check the starter by manually energising the solenoid. If the engine cranks the starter and solenoid are ok and it is time to check a few voltages to determine where in the circuit the fault is. If there is a starter relay it would be a good idea to check that and the voltages next...

I got 05 Chrysler town &country. Won't start, won't make a clicking noise or anything. There's a red light blinking on the Dash. What could it be?

OK, What exactly does this "Red light" look like? This can be the first clue as to why it won't start. Next, What EXACTLY does it do when you turn the ignition key? NO dash lights and nothing at all from the engine is commonly a flat or bad battery. Dash lights come on but you get a very quiet single 'Click' suggests a bad Starter Relay. Dash lights and a repeating 'Click, click, click' is often a bad starter solenoid. Dash lights and a solid single 'Clunk' is possibly a bad starter motor.

Well it wouldn't be a solenoid. My guess would be a starter relay.check to see if you can find the buzzing noise .it could be a fuseable link that's starting to fail .

Bypassing ignition

You take the hot wire to the ignition switch and twist it together with the run wire out of the switch-then ignition is on, just as if the key were turned to on. Then take the start wire that goes out of the switch and touch it to the hot wire to make the starter work. Soon as engine is started, remove the start wire from hot wire and tuck it out of the way. When you want it off, untwist the hot wire and the run wire.
If you cannot hot wire it like this, check if there is a security system that has immobilized the car. I don't know if a '92 had a security system.

Had the same problem with mine. The starter may be bad. While holding the key in the start position, have a friend tap on the top of the starter a few times. If it starts, change the starter.

1990 stanza car can be pushed and clutch start car. When you turn key on dash lights come on cae will not turn over. put in new battery did not help

Do you get a fairly loud 'click' when you turn the key to 'start'? If so, you need a meter or test light to check if power appears at the starter terminal when the solenoid clicks. If power appears, the starter requires repair or replacement (usually the brushes). If no power appears, then replace the starter solenoid. Hope this helps!

Car won't turn over, has power to dash from ignition

ignition switch. the one in the column where the key goes into. not exactly an easy replacement due to the airbag location as sometimes the mount screrws for the key switch retainer will be between the wheel and the column assembly requiring the wheel to be removed.
