Kind of sounds like the motor is loose or the gears are loose and slipping.

Does anyone know how to hook up a aftermarket digital speedometer a ATM 50 A1.. or know how I can find a diagram for 2016 ATM 5a1?

breakers that keep tripping indicate a sever overload from a dead short ( same deal as a fuse)
It could be from a failed start/run capacitor for the compressor , vermin related problems or shorted wiring
best have a technician check it out
It is possible that the breaker is weak and tripping before the set current flow is reached ( a replacement of the same rating will prove this) Do not use a higher rated circuit breaker

Sounds like the Hall wire are mixed up. Try reconecting the hall wires to the correct wire and it will run excellent. I have the same scooter and that is what was wrong.

Did you find a solution? Dunno if it's much help, but I just today picked up some 501s - Series I I think - ugly heavy brown material grilles - but with a manual! No fuses in these, but booklet recommends installing your own in-line fuse holders (!?). Specifies a BUSS AGC-3 fuse for amps under 50wpc; or a MDL-2 fuse for amps over 50 wpc. Can be placed is series with either or the two signal wires. Very strange.... Robin
