SOURCE: gas in tank wont start unless put gas in carb-then
Hi, being a tiller theres a good possiblity that the line is glogged and if theres a line filter it could be plugged also. Another source of clogging is from old gas, ti can become a little varnished.
Remove the line clear it with compressed air or other source, drain the tank and if theres a line filter - replace it.
Another source could be the air filter - usually a sponge. Replace this as well or clean in a varsol bath. squeeze it out dry, then apply some oil to the input side - helps to catch dirt, etc.
USE safety precautions .

first of all you have no carb its fuel injected, at least you know you have spark, now do you have fuel pressure??, is the fuel pump working?/ if you have fuel and pressure then you have to check signal at the injectors, so if you have fuel pressure and a good injector pulse the next step is to check the injectors, this may require removal, good luck

Fuel starvation - 'lean fuel' condition
Basic things to check:
1) spark plug
2) spark arrestor in muffler
3) fuel lines and tank filter
4) turn adjustment needles out (counterclockwise) 1/4 to 1/2 turn
Chain Saws:
5) check impulse tube and intake boot for cracks or leaks
*if all of the above are OK and/or do not improve performance then:
Remove Carburetor
6) replace gaskets/diaphragms
a) use a spray carb cleaner to clean jets, holes, and body of carb
b) fuel pump diaphragm goes against the carb body,
then the gasket towards the outside
c) metering gasket goes against the carb body,
and the diaphragm goes towards the outside

first thing to check is for fuel supply to the carb, it may be just a filter, worse off is you may have to rebuild the carb
is this a carb model or a injection and what year and model would be of a help
