I'm guessing this is a 2 cycle engine ? , if so and you are using cheap unleaded gas it contains to much water " BIO Fuel" for you engine to run properly. drain the gas and try super unleaded and see if it will start. If you are lucky for it to start you need to start using a high octane gas with aditive to elemate the water content, soon bio fuel will kill your 2 cycle engine, you need to see if you can find the no bio fuel in your area...sorry I know with will probably hard to find, thanks to our Goverment

I have a peugeot 50cc scooter which when cold will start but dies immediately, after a few starts it will run but as soon as you rev will die again.

Has it been serviced recently? Check the basics for petrol engines. Clean air filter, clean fuel filter, clean oil and oil filter. Is the battery fully charged? Is there fuel in the tank? (Yes, I've done that one). If there is a fuel tap fitted to the bottom of the tank? Is it in the open/run position?
Yours sounds like a fuel supply issue. How old is the bike? Does it idle smoothly when it does run? A good starting place is the fuel pump. Some scooters use a vacuum system for the fuel pump and the rubber diaphragm inside the pump wears out. This doesn't pull the fuel through fast enough and leaks air into the fuel system. This starves the engine of petrol, causing it to stall.
A lot of older bikes also use carburetors which need to have the fuel jets and idle jets cleaned occasionally, especially if there has been poor quality fuel in it at some time. Newer bikes use an injector which can clog up as well but this is less common.

Ive just bought secondhand jetforce 50cc moped but when i start it it just keeps turning over and not starting is there a fuel on off switch on the bike or could it be a much bigger problem ?

Install a new spark plug and drain the carburetor float bowl. Chances are the bowl has water in it from condensation in the gas tank. Below is a generic diagram. tombones49_239.gif

I have a 2001 peugeot speedfight 2 50cc in a morning it will not run. wont cold start i have brought a new automatic choke no luck still same well now the choke has stopted the carb from flooding so that...

white mould inside the carb is water and oil mixing together which shouldnt happen have you checked the air box to see if the filter is blocked that would let in water or do you have a k+n? which again could be blocked
have you checked the spark plug it might need replacing remove it and place it on the engine and kick the bike you should get a nice fat spark if you dont then replace it while you have it out what does it look like? oily means the air screw neeeds turning in 1/2 a turn white and powdery means air screw 1/2 turn out
give these things a try and charge the battery and it should start

hope this helps
