Definitely a charging issue. Always check the battery first, I prefer a gel cell battery over acid. Battery must be good and strong to charge properly. This charging system is so small , it only operates enough to maintain battery voltage. Normally it wont charge a weak battery, so start there first. you can check the voltage coming from the stator, at 3k RPM you should be getting around 60-80 volts per leg. If each stator leg checks within these results, it will be a good stator. The reg/rect is not something I can tell you how to check on the bike. We have a stand alone system here where we bench test them off the bike to eliminate the rest of the system to test Just the reg/rect.
I have these stators here new also have the reg/rect, both have a one year warranty. If you need more help let me know. Thanks

600 mile service. Change oil adjust brakes, clutch, and chain. evey week check your fluids and tires. I dont remember what service is after 600 but change your oil more often than not. 3K for conventional and 5k for synthetic is the usual agreement. Other than your oil, cables, and chain. I dont think your next service is till 10K miles I THINK. If you have a torque wrench its a good idea to put all your bolts into spec every week or two, espically the rear axle nut(36mm 72.5lbFT)

Your charger should be putting out 13.0-14.5 volts to keep the battery charged. Otherwise its running off the stator sometimes and the battery at other times depleating the battery. The voltage regulator could be bad or the stator could be bad. try swapping the volt regulator first and start from there. Also a battery that has been depleted should be sufficiently recharged before using it again.

Should put out continuous 13.0-14.5 volts to charge battery. Replace voltage regulator.
