2005 kingquad 700 battery not charging and fi light is on, fuel pump only coming on sometimes

Charles, What is the voltage of the battery without the motor running? What does the voltage go to when trying to start the bike? Once the bike is started what is the voltage? On a good battery you should have 12-13 volts without the bike running. When starting the bike your voltage should not drop below 11 volts. After the bike is running your voltage should be somewhere between 13-15 volts. All of these readings should be taken at the battery posts. Also if you have individual caps on each of the openings of the battery check your water level. It should be to the upper line if not fill with distilled water. If after starting your bike and the voltage is still low make sure both ends of each battery cable is clean. If clean your problem sounds like the charging system and you might need a new generator.

I sank my king quad

As you are probably aware, oil and water don't mix, they form an emulsion and the oil no longer lubricates yet coats everything with a dirty off white goo.
I would strip the engine down and clean everything. You may get away with heating the engine parts to evaporate the water but I wouldn't recommend it.
Sorry but if you want a bit more life from the engine, strip it down.

I submerged my 2006 700 king quad what to do?

If water is in fuel tank, drain and refill with clean fuel. Replace fuel filter. Remove spark plug and crank engine over several times to clear cylinder of possible water. Clean and dry plug, reinstall, refill oil and try to start engine.
You may get a pleasant surprise.

My quad starts but dies if i dont feather the gas

Find the idle screw and screw it up a little, after a bit more running around it should come good and you simply un-screw the idle screw back to normal.

Good day

Burgmans tend to have a weak gearbox and are costly to repair. Parts availability is often a problem.

Battery not charging and causing scooter to shut down

This is probably due to a faulty wiring, regulator/rectifier or, less likely faulty alternator
1st check the wiring & connections from the alternator to the reg/rect (3 yellows) then check wiring to the battery (thick red)
You should get 13.5 volts (with a fully charged battery) across the battery terminals rising with the engine revs to no more than 15.5 volts, if its over then the regulator is at fault
check the alternator for continuity between the 3 yellow wires (3 pairs) at the reg/rect plug after disconnecting it. the 3 pairs should have a similar reading & none should go to earth
To check the rectifier part you need a diode drop setting on your multimeter. there should be a reading 1 way only between the red & any yellow and between the black & any yellow if not it will need renewing

Hope this helps

I have a 700 King Quad that I have an err message

You will have to go to your Suzuki / Burgman dealer and have them read the codes. Usually it is a problem detected in the fuel injection system. The only way to remove the err message is to fix the problem and reset the system.

A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!
