Front wheel shakes bad

Hi,food for thought, have you checked that the wheele bearing is not worn(put bike on centre stand hold wheele on tyre 6 clock and pull with one hand and push with other hand)and see if you can feel eney play in the bearing,if so replace, also with bike still on back wheele spine wheele and see if it pins freely and that the discs are not warped,if not then if there is a fork brace check that it is tight ,check that the head racers are not loose or worn, with bike still on centre stand hold weele with one hand and front brake with other hand push and pull with wheele strate towards and away from bike and feel for play if there is try tightening,if not, then turn front forks left and right still holding the forks and wheele in same place do this slowly and when the wheele gose past the centre piont(strate)feel for eney notchy ness,if not bearing should be ok,if there is notchy ness replace,if its none of these I would get the wheele rechecked that it was balanced right, all the best hope you get to the bottom of the problem.

Yamaha roadstar 1600

One line that comes from the top LH side of carb (looking at carb w/o air cleaner) is a carb vent aprox 1/4 " hose. It connects only to the carb & hangs in a wire bracket as a vent tube. The 1/2 " vent line that goes from the valve cover on the rear cylinder goes to the spigot on the air cleaner case & vents the crankcase gases back into the intake of the carb to be burnt. Those are the only 2 lines other than the fuel line that comes from the metal pipe that crosses over to the fuel pump on the other side of bike. That fuel line connects to the carb metal fuel spigot on the side of the carb. That's fuel into carb.

I can't get the driver seat off of my 2002 Yamaha

Roadstars have a seat lock operated via ignition switch.
Insert the key into the ignition switch. Turn the key in the counter-clockwise direction as far as you can (don't push down on the key...just turn). You'll hear a click release sound from the front end of the seat. The seat front should now lift for you. Sometimes the lock can stick so you may need to push down on the seat front while turning the key to get the latch released.

I can not get the

If you have a custom seat unscrew the back screw. Then insert the key into the ignition. Turn right and then back to the original position. Then without pressing down on the key, while lifting the seat, turn the key to the left. You will feel the hatch release and the seat will lift in your hand. If you have a stock or a two piece seat, do the same with the key but lift on the front of the seat so it will slide out of the bracket. If you push on the key as you turn it left, you will lock the handlebars but not unlock the seat.

This is just a shot in the wind but it is possible when it gets hot the Engine Control Module or Ignition Control Module, which ever your bike has, has an open circuit in it when you heat a module up everything expands and could cause circuits to be open when they would be closed when the are cold. I have seen it before in alot of different kind of vehicles not just motorcycles. But that is my professional opinion it is possible it could be something totally different though that is the bad thing about being a Technician. If you have any more question please let me know and leave good feed back please.

Sounds like time for a thorough carb cleaning. Also check the rubber for tears, pin holes and cracks in the diaphragm. While you are in there, clean the air filter and stick in a fresh set of spark plugs.

Starter spins but won't engage.

Yamaha uses a one-way clutch on the starter. It is located to the rear of the stator. Sometimes removal and cleaning will help. Most times, replacement is required.
