What is happening that makes you think you might need to replace it?

What happens if you press down on the seat when you try to lock or unlock?

Check the diodes in your rectifier. Check the output voltage of the alternator.

CHECK ALL FUEL/OIL LINES FILTERS ETC. AFTER THAT CLEAN CARB AND ADJUST IDLE SPEED.

check clutch lockout switch and side stand switch, check fuses, do you hear a the relay click

shorted wire somewhere, probably under tank

turn the key to the left without pushing it down, the seat release is cable actuated, not electric.

Hi,,since you have a new battery and reg/rec i would have the stator checked. it is rare that damage to a stator is visible(there are a lot of windings)

Remove battery, check fluid levels and put on a 2 amp slow charge (regular battery charger), if it doesn't take a charge, replace battery.

You have done a good job ... pat yourself on the back ... following that, go get some injector cleaner and add an appropriate amount to your tank and go for a ride. Do what ever you need to do to keep from pushing it home. I think this will solve your trouble.

May I recommend a fuel stabilizer for your fuel for future periods of time when you will not be riding? StaBil is a good brand but there are others as well.

Check resistance of fuel sensor,connector should be under seat at rear of tank. If open sensor may be bad.Check the connector for good contact.Check with a good dealer about problem ,most will give you some help if you buy your parts from them.
