Cleaning the carbs on a

write note on where the air screws are adjusted before pulling them out.
If you see something you may confuse later take a photo, like vacumn hoses, overflow hoses, fuel hose.
The slides may look a little worn, this is usually not a problem, apart for obvious cracks, then its replace all four
dont touch the adjustable syncronizing screws, that lift all the slides together.
dont mix parts between carbs.
When putting them back on
Check the inlet rubbers and install them tight
Make certain the throttle snaps all the way back before starting the bike.
And of course work in a clean area, and remember its fuel and will burn when it can, so no ignition sources.

Cross wired battery to jump start now no power.

The damage could be regulator, ECU, Clock/rev counter etc.
Start methodically and follow each step one at a time starting with the fuses.
If you have an ECU, check/replace that, then check the regulator/rectifier assembly. Once you have ignition you are almost there.
Plenty of s/hand spares on ebay if you need any.
Good luck

My fzr wont start. I

My bike has fallen over many times in the driveway lol but always starts after. Was the bike stored for six months? The gas may be bad. I would drain the tank and try fresh fuel. Also check your fuel line. IT May be pinched off from the fall restricting fuel flow. Also check the fuel filter, may be clogged from old gas too.

I have a problem with

hi , Before you start on the carbs , check that the spark plugs are the same . if all are the same then check your compression levels in each cylinder as some maybe different than other and will tell you maybe the cause of your problem such as valves seats warned out or requiring new valves ( worst case scenario ) the last resort is to take the carbies out and give them a good clean and balance ( tune ) which should only be the problem as old fuel or dirty fuel maybe partially blocking the jets .

With the engine cool, locate the radiator cap on the right side of the motorcycle under the fake tank (the real tank is under neath a plastic cover). You may have to take off the right lower cowl. Remove the cap and fill the radiator to the top. Now, take off the seat and fill the overflow bottle to the high mark. You can follow the overflow tube from the over flow bottle to the radiator cap and vice versa. Ride the motorcycle and check the over flow tank level again after the bike cools down .
