The bike is holding back at 6000 rpm cant work it
sounds like a similar problem that i had...it would only go up to 8k and i could not get it to go past that sitting at idle either. well i took the carb bank out and started taking off the bowls to clean them and in the #1 bowl i heard something rattle..i looked and it was the main jet..it had fallen off..so you might have a carb problem, or possibly a weak fuel pump but, change fuel filter first thats quick and easy.
can i get a feedback..thanks!
Well i was riding the
the main cause could be the regulator which died and cut off the power .
the CDI unit maybe the cause as well .
the last thing your magneto could also have died .
Im looking for a new look for my '95 fzr 600.(
Try your local dealer first, though if they DO offer aftermarket parts they will probably be expensive. Have you checked eBay? Also would try a Google search and Cycle World, etc. websites in their ads. TONS of companies offer tricked out accessories for popular bikes. Downside is that yours is going on 15 years old, and plastic parts are the first thing to be discontinued. Try a Google search for companies that make carbon fiber parts. A lot is available there, and a lot of it is universal fit. You just may have to drill some mounting holes in the correct place on the new part to make it fit your bike.
Not charging
Appears to be charging quite heavy. The lowerthe voltage the higher the amperage. Ck batt water level and cable connections.Chances are, your battery is bad.
I have a 99 fzr 600 anyine know what the head
advise that you seek correct info from dealer as there will be a correct sequence and possible torque down and secondary torque settings.which means that after initial settling of head the bollts may require a second tweak.its not very common but there sre bikes that require this.
FZR 600 R Running problems
check the pickup for the ignition, u may have an issue there from vibration and the resulting loose of spark, if u rev the engine at a stop does it die?
I need to replace the timingchain tenisoner but not sure how.
No you do not need to pull the engine. Infact if your lucky you can get to only by removing the let and right fairings and you should be able to get to each screw from both sides. Worst case scenario you need to remove the gas tank cover fairing and the gas tank it self as well. If you have removed the gas tank you will have a little more room to work and can see everything a little better. It is mounted directly on the back side of the engine crank case. It's the only thing that sticks out that far and does not have anything connected to it on the outside so it looks almost like it's there for no reason. It's a little bit closer to the right side of the bike than the center. Also, if you need more help you can get the manual from
http://www.fzrarchives.com/online_manuals.html and the instructions for the Timing Chain Tensioner replacement can be found in Section 4-79
Horn and Highbeams not working
Hi!
Have you taken a look at the switch? I'm a Harley Guy, the Horn and High beam switch are located on the same bank so a clean with a bit 'O' WD might do the trick?? did for me.
Good Luck!
