2001 Suzuki VL 125 Intruder LC Questions & Answers
My intruder's ignition has become erratic,
Check the battery terminals and it's connections it could be corroded with acidic powder, also check the starter solenoid switch and also check the starter button switch too..many atimes this accumulates carbon and thus fails. Check the charging rate of the charging system on your bike's engine. @idling it should show 13.8-14Volts.
How do I replace a choke cable on my suzuki
have you tried adjusting it first where it connects to the handle should be a screw with a round nut on it pull back on this screw nut towards handle to remove is opposite
I have a suzuki intruder vl 125 and recently when
the stalling is due to the rectifier (its a box under the plastics on the bike and has fins on it) if not this then possibly an air/fuel mixture problem but as with my old vl it was the rectifier
How do you remove petrol tank from suzuki 125 v
Had the same problem, had to cut the cable and use WD40 and tweezers to free it BUT i'm sure there's a better way.
The Tank is attached to the frame via one bolt under the tank nearest the seat and after you remove the fuel lines the tank lifts up and off, lift seat end up first.

I think there water inside carb
Drain the carburetor. There should be a screw on the lower side or a plug on the bottom of the float bowl. Remove the screw or plug then replace it after the fuel drains. Below is a generic carburetor showing a large plug at the bottom of a float bowl.
The engine do not start. It is no sparks.
Check the fuses. Next, check for spark but with a new spark plug. How good is the battery? Is the kill switch on? Does the side stand have a kill switch? Is it working properly? Check the operation of the ignition switch and all kill switches with a volt ohmmeter.
Check the wiring harness. Did a wire come unplugged? Are all wires clean and with solid connections? Any abraded or pinched wires? Is the bike in neutral and the neutral light is lit up? If no neutral light, check the neutral switch and neutral switch wire on center casing. If still no spark, get CDI system and coils checked at the dealers shop.

There are baffles in the exhast, they are needed to create back pressure on the engine. You can buy a set of high flow exhaust and a high flow air intake to free up horse power.

Oil change : 2.4L ~ 2.5 US qt ~ 2.1 Imp. qt
Oil change with filter change: 2.8L ~ 3.0 US qt ~ 2.5 Imp. qt
Oil capacity after engine overhaul : 3.3L ~ 3.5 US qt ~ 2.9 Imp. qt
Oil quality: SAE 10W-40 API grade SE or SF

anything is worth a try;
go by your local wal-mart and pick up CLR. pour it in a container.
heat it above luke warm,take carb loose from manifold.and submerge it for a couple of hours.you should be able to wiggle it out.
PS if it dont repeat proccess.

Have to check the voltage regulator for burned wires or yellowed connectors,, also looking over every wire on the bike you can get to would be a good idea,, something could just have rubbed thru the insulation on a wire resulting in a dead short,,, look carefully for the damaged wire,, It could easily be a voltage regulator

What type of oil did you put in the first place?
Maybe you will need to throughly flash the engine of the oil that was wrongly put in. If you are in USA , get seafoam, use that one to flush the engine. It may help!
