Hi I was draining the "oil" on my 2004 suzuki drz

it sounds as if you undid the oil pump plug and if you put everything back in as it came out you will be fine.

I was goin to change the oil in my 2004 klx 125

regular is fine but synthetic or semi-synthetic is even better because it makes your bike run a lot better... once you use it though you can't go back to regular...it is a little more exspensive

I have a 2008 Kawasaki klx 125 I just bought used

Well - usually something like this would make me suspect the compression and timing first then the jetting in the carb. You might want to do a quick compression check although I do not know what the pressure should be for your bike. I would suspect at least 165PSI. You could have bought a bike that was run without an air filter or something like that.

I would also check the simple stuff - clean the air filter, drain the float bowl and tank and replace with fresh fuel (especially if your fuel is diluted with Ethenol !) and maybe even replace the spark plug.

If all this checks out OK and you still have the same thing going on, you might need to alter the low speed jetting (pilot jet).

Bought 2004 Kawasaki klx 125 and takes 20-30 kicks

Be certain the battery is in good condition. Install a new spark plug. Clean the carb and air filter. Use the throttle sparingly. The carb has a power valve that gives an extra shot of gas each time the throttle is twisted. Too many twists and the engine floods out. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

It Won't Start!

Hi you will need to remove the carb and clean it completely, pull all the jets out and blow through them, the jets are small but you should be able to see through them, you will also need to remove the fuel tap from the tank and clean it out. If you pull the air screw out, make sure you screw it all the way in first and count the turns .count every 1\4 of a turn.

How long has the bike been sitting? The gas may be bad or the carb might need to be cleaned out or choke may be sticking.

Gas in oil when i drained the oil

It's likely your carburetor float stuck, and drains fuel into the engine, through the rings, into your oil sump. You may also have fuel in the airbox too. If you don't fix it, at least turn the fuel off when not in use.

How to change oil

tools will very depening on the Bike.most of the time it is a 13mm or 14mm on the draine plug check to see what size before you start this process.first you need to start the bike and let it warm up the oil so to break loose all the debris from use. This is about 15 min. stand your bike where it is standing as straight up as possible, and you can get to the drain plug with ease.place a rag of some sort under the bike to catch any spill, place a oil pan (I use a butter bowl)under the bike to catch the draining oil.loosen the drain plug and you are there.Be careful the bike does not fall over as you loosen the drain plug. GOOD LUCK

Kick start broke and case broke

the kick start broke or did the shaft that the kick start bolts to?, if the shaft broke, you will need to remove the case and replace the shaft. as for the case, depends on how bad it broke, some people can weld alum. but i would buy a new case. and then install kick start on new shaft

My KLX 125 2004 will turn over but wont idle

Might check: Air filter, choke malfuntion or sticking, dirty carb (idle circuit), valve adjustment, and sometimes a weak spark (cap, plug, wire). Could need a new top end (check compression after adjusting valves) or a vacuum leak in the intake manifold (cracks, petcock line off...not sure if this model uses a petcock vacuum shut off). Good luck.
