P0441 Code - Toyota. The P0441 OBD-II code is relatively rare (at least for Toyotas). It indicates an Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow. The EVAP system manages gasoline vapor evaporation from the gas tank and fuel systems.
code p0441 refers to evaporative emission (EVAP) system--incorrect flow detected== causes--hose connections---intake leak==EVAP canister purge valve
I would start at the purge valve because if the tank is not venting properly there will be either a pressure build up which will over fuel the engine ( too rich) or the fuel pressure will be too low (vacuum in the tank not allowing the pump to keep pressure up) which will result in random misfires.
code p0441 refers to evaporative emission (EVAP) system--incorrect flow detected====causes -hose connections ---intake leak---EVAP canister purge valve. Check for vacuum leaks including vacuum controls for the vents or replace the purge valve.
Here's a link for p0441 (not po441) http://www.obd-codes.com/p0441 P0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow. Since it happens when it fills up, you'd have to look at what happens with a almost full tank (you stop about a gallon before full), vs a full (gasp pump stopped when full) tanks. Something might be happening when gas gets to far up the filling tube. Maybe there is a vent line with a valve that's getting gas in there causing the fault. I'm not a kia expert, but If stopping the gas pump yourself fixes the problem, then stop "topping off"
P0441 : Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow In most cases, this refers to your gas cap not being tightened down or the cap seal not making enough contact to pressurize the tank and system.
P0401--- the egr valve has insufficient air flow. Needs to be taken off and cleaned, if not replaced. The port holes might be clogged up, or the valve itself might be bad.
P0441---- The evaporative emission control purge valve has low air flow, probably do to the egr valve.
If you take off the egr valve, you will need to replace the gasket, or it won't seal right when it's put back on.
is it gettingf gas? use starting fluid from the local parts store (about $4) to spray into the air intake hose to the engine, if it starts for a quick second then you have no fuel and almost certainly need a fuel pump, the fuel pump is electric and is located inside the fuel tank, the tank must be removed to replace the fuel pump module aswsembly.
Code P0441 = evap code (auxiliary emissions control systems),You could try replacing the fuel cap first (make sure it has the double gasket), but most likely the charcoal canister has failed or you have a leak in a hose related to the evap system.
