    2005 GMC brake light switch plunger located on mount by brake pedal.Lost cruise control and brake lights. Unscrewed from mount removed the plunger end. Disassembled and form adjusted the metel contact.Temp fix until a new one is bought. Poor design.

In the 04 models there has been a recall on a part in the brake lights. You can look it up and it gives you a number to call GMC. If you truck is one of the affected models they will replace it for you.

you might have the brake shoes adjusted out too much, back them off a little bit and far as the sensor goes, its located on the fuel rail where the injectors are.
