Any check engine light on? Mine was behaving the same way, a full tune up remedied the problem- that includes the fuel filter and air filter as well! The same may not be true for you, hopefully, but if you have a light in get a local parts store to check it for free!
A "putt in the gas"??? Do you mean that your engine is "hesitating on acceleration"? If this is what you mean, it is usually caused by either a dirty throttle body or a faulty Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). I would try cleaning the throttle body first.
Take it to a qualified repair shop an have it checked out , could have DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's stored . Or it could just need new plug's & wire's ,fuel filter etc....
Have the codes checked. This is the best way to find out what is causing the light to come on.If you start going by what people tell you they think it is you will spend a lot of money and not fix the problem.Auto Zone and mostr part stores will check your codes for free.Hope this helps.Good luck.
good chance with that problem you were close most likely a misfire will cause that. it would be either your spark plugs or coil pack. also make sure your vacuum lines are good and air filter is good. also bad gas can cause that problem. the worst outcome would be your throttle body going out on you.
check that the plug for the airflow meter is connected .if it loose or poorly connected,it can give major trouble.the meter is close to the throttle body
