Second owner of a 92 Oldsmobile Ceirra that has never had any problems until recently it started stalling while driving down the road.Changed out fuel filter and checked mic. other things to no avail....ant ideas? I was told today to check the "Electronic Spark controller"?

I would suggest that you have a bad batch of gas in your tank. (Water in gas) this would be why engine runs poor and stalling. Drain and/or put good gas in.

I was just thinking about the sudden stall problem ,and no start problem .Have you checked the coil pack. When the car is cold it should start ,when it warms up ,with the under hood temps ,it will probably stall ,again. Try replacing the coil pack .

I don't want to seem like a smart ****, but the blown fuses were telling you that something with the component that it was protecting is going bad. So changing the fuse the first time was a go idea, the second time was not. It told you, that something was failing and you refused to pay attention.
But at least you know which fuse blew, so now all you have to do is find out what it was protecting and replace it or what feeds it.
While driving on the highway does it drive fine untill you get off on the off ramp and then it just wants to stall out?
Check the cataletic converter to see if it is clogged. Remove the front connection to the cat and drive it if it runs ok then there is your problem.

i had the same problem with my 92 exept after mine stalled it wouldnt start for 20 - 30 mins... mine ended up needing a transmission flush for the stalling problem and i tried to drive everyday that helped

i had the same problem with a little more symptoms, that you have reported. i found that there was a recall on he fuel line. the stainless steal line wares down and begins to leak. This issue affects the oil pressure and causes the car to stall.
Fuel pump,Fuel pump, Fuel pump,,, high mile cars will always out live their fuel pump. The stalls will become more frequent. But first change fuel filter if it has one outside the fuel tank, if it has it in the tank just replace the pump at the same time. Also next time when it stalls bang the bottom of the tank with your hand and try starting.
