Drained break fluid and pedal goes to floor, i have a 95 dodge neon i also have Bleed all the wheels starting with the rear pass side it is normally the furthest from the master cyl then the other rear then front pass then driver front. Bleed until clean fluid is coming from wheel cylinders. Still nothing I noticed that there is a air tube right next to the master cylinder and it does get better when i take the cover off but then it goes right back to normal when i put it back on any suggestions?

IT is probably a vacuum leak in the brake booster. With the pedal going to the floor There is either no brake fluid or you will have to bleed the system. Replace the booster and bleed the brakes starting at the longest line first

first you need to make sure you can open all bleeders on each wheel.You will need 2 people,1 to open and close bleeder and 1 to pump and hold pedal down.Be carefull,bleeders that haavnt been opened in a while can break off.Spray them with PB Blaster and let them sit for while.Then you start with pass rear then drivers rear then pass front then drivers font in that order.Make sure master is full of fluid,then have person pump brakes 5 to 7 times and hold them on,then open bleeder until the pedal is down to floor.Make sure person pushing pedal lets you close the bleeder before letting pedal up to pump it again.Repeat this until there is no air coming out of bleeder.If they let pedal up and you havnt closed the bleeder, it will **** air back into system.

you may need to bleed your breaks so check your fluid and have a friend help you with this.. open or take off break fluid cap and top off with fluid leave cap off and start on the back passanger side break have someone pump the break a few times and then hold down on the break pedal while you open the bleeder valve when the break pedal reaches the floor hold there and retighten the bleeder valve and repeat untill no air only fluid comes out, then move to the driverside rear wheel and repeat,next is the front passanger side wheel then finaly front driverside wheel. check fluid in master cylender after every 2 trys on each wheel to make sure pleanty of fluid is in resourvior so your not putting air in the lines.. you should see a video on this to make sure you understad it fully before attempting yourself, go to youtube videos and watch a video on how to bleed breaks almost all break systems are the same. i hope this helps.

You need a helper, to slowly press the brake pedal down, as you open bleeder valve,then close before your helper gets near the floor.
Repeat until all air is out of each wheel position.
RR,LR,RF then LF. Always start from the farthest wheel and have motor running
Never pump brakes. That does nothing at all.

Start with brake in the rear that is the farthest away from the master cylinder ( if your master cylinder is on drivers side start with passenger rear,pump up brake pedal until hard have someone else open bleeder valve until air or fluid squirts out,while holding brake pressure even if goes to the floor dont release pedal until bleeder valve is tightened or you will **** air back into the line,do this several times making sure you get a full stream of brake fluid and no air,continue to other rear wheel and then proceed to front wheel furthest from master cylinderand then final wheel. if you still don't have brakes change master cylinder and bleed all brakes again.

It sounds like you have a bad mastercylinder cause when you panic brake it doesn't have time to bleed through the valve in the cylinder but under normal braking your foot is on pedal longer in turn giving the fluid time to bypass the valve in the mastercylinder in turn the pedal going to the floor.

do you mean that you pump the brakes to build up pressure in order to stop?

bleeding brakes requires you to bleed them from each wheel starting at the right rear. procede as follows: have someone sit in the drivers seat. have them pump the brakes slowly and forceably to build up pressure. maintain force on the pedal. starting at the right rear, open the bleed screw slowly. the pedal will go to the floor and the fluid will drain. hold the pedal to the floor and tighten the bleed screw. repeat this procedure several times until you are sure there is no air in the line. follow these steps at each wheel- left rear, right front, left front. keep reservoir filled with fluid. fill after each wheel. (note) get a length of rubber hose that fits snuggly over the end of the bleed screw
and drain fluid into a container.

i think you were draining the anti-lock brake system. in which, case follow the steps above for that also.

Two persons are required: one to bleed and other to press brake pedal.
Remove wheel and hub of the side you want to bleed. You will find the bleed nut there. Open it a little until some oil flows out. Ask the other person to press brake pedal with steady pushing and withdrawing until he feels its tight while you slowly tighten the nut. Adjust tightness of pedal by trial. Don't forge to refill the brake fluid after bleeding all the brakes.

are they hard or soft to break at the pedal? or normal? if normal NO if soft/squishy YES if too hard... drain some fluid? or check master break cil.

short answer: only need to if there is something wrong.

to do a complete job. you need to bleed all 4 wheels, starting from Right Rear. Right front. Left Rear. Left Front.
