Need to find a plastic Upper Intake Manifold for a 2001 Mazda Tribute 3.0L 6cy. Mine has a crack. A part number or a autoparts web site where I could order one from would be great. I've had no success myself.

The 3.0L Mazda should be the same as the Escape.
I found this website for Ford OEM parts (It's probably a Ford dealer);
https://www.silverstatefordparts.com/ford-escape-parts.html

Look under Intake Manifold:
Fuel system Cruise control Fuel induction Fuel injection Intake Intake manifold Manifold gasket

Intake manifold, escape, mariner, 3.0l, upper
01-04 ($214.98 List) $151.95
plus tax and shipping.
Don't forget the gaskets.

I have a 2001 Mazda Tribute V6 3.0 and I'm trying to find were the pulse damper vacuum hose connects to? Please help.

The pulse damper vacuum hose on a 2001 Mazda Tribute V6 3.0 connects to the intake manifold. Look for a small vacuum hose coming from the pulse damper and follow it to the intake manifold. The intake manifold is typically located on the top of the engine and will have a series of hoses and cables connected to it. The pulse damper is typically located near the fuel injectors and fuel rail. Make sure the hose is connected securely and in good condition, as any leaks or damage can cause issues with the engine's performance.

Does anybody have a color coded vacuum / EGR hose diagram for a 2001 mazda tribute 3.0 LX

Matthew, Vacuum hose diagram should be under hood on a decal/label, on hood it self or on rad cradle usually. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

My 2001 Mazda tribute I have start the engin...low speed idle go up to 700....then go down to 500...and then stall... start again i need push gas plate hold up 2000 3-5 min can you tell me what problem...

intake manifold gaskets leaking. when engine warms up they re-seal- somewhat. if you change them yourself ( bunch of silicone type O-Rings) careful that the brittle plastic clips of fuel injector electrical connectors dont fall off and into the intake ports of engine.

How to change spark plug on 02 mazda tribute

Is it a V6? For a V6 if you are standing in front of the car it will be the middle cylinder on the firewall side of the engine. You will have to remove the plastic engine cover and the intake manifold to get to it. If it were on the front side of the engine you would only have to remove the plastic cover. Since there is a good bit of work involved removing the manifold, I would suggest that you go ahead and replace all of the sparkplugs and consider replacing the coil for the one cylinder also. I have a 2001 Mazda Tribute. Mine started running rough so I decided to replace all the sparkplugs. After replacing the sparkplugs it continued to run rough. I took it to a shop and got it scanned (no cost for the scan). The scan showed the coil on the 3rd cylinder was bad. So I wound up having to pull the manifold off again to replace the coil :(
The first time it took me 1-1/2 hours to do the plugs, second time 1 hour to do the coil. Car runs great after coil replacement. Hope this helps.

2001 mazda tribute v6 runs rough cold ildes at about 200 rpm till it warms up then its ok what could it be

I replaced the upper & lower manifold runners seals, now it runs perfect, The reason it runs ok when warm is because the manifolds expand and seal the gaps on the surfaces that the worn old seals are not closing. Also change the spark plugs.

Problems with cold engine

It is the head gasket. Have that replaced and you will be fine. You have an air leak. I was told by the mechanic at mazda that the anti freeze eats away at the gaskets. CRAZY, but it works. I still have an issue with my 2001 Tribute revving while in park. Its always something.
