Driving into work in my GMC Acadia 08 model, I had loss of stabilitrak and then "engine losing power" indicator, I barely had time to pull over before it was drained of power. After it was shut down for 20 mins it did start again but now my service engine light is on. any ideas. I am in Canada with cold weather but the vehicle is garaged and it was only 10 mins into my drive. Thank-you

If you do have a bad wheel sensor you will need to have a scanner to identity which wheel is bad. But sometimes if you look at the sensors you may see where a wire has been broken.

Could be rusted and broken because have others codes you should check for new codes.

I have a 2008 model. I am assuming the stabilitrak button(on my SUV) located next to the geer shift is turning the stabilitrak system
on and off OK? If not maybe just this switch is bad?
Unfortunately my stabilitrak alarm indicator has started coming on
periodically too. Mine seems to get reset after driving it for some
time then stopping and restarting after several short trips. I'm not
sure if mine is a real issue if it goes away after a while of driving.
The last time my "check engine" light came on also. When the
traction control alarm went away, so did the check engine alarm.

Address the 'Check Engine' light first. The Stabilitrak message is usually just a symptom of the Check Engine light turning on.

Best to have the vehicle checked out by a mechanic if it comes back on. Also if you where driving in wet weather that's a possible reason for the light to display. Al s of double che c k air pressure in tire all the way around the vehicle

Hi, viewer! The steering pump reservoir is on the right side area of the engine but is concealed underneath the top engine dress cover. Remove first the engine oil cap, turn it conterclockwise to loosen out. Then pull the engine dress cover upwards from side to side. There are no bolts, and there are only 2 clips holding the cover from below. Just pull carefully upwards with enough force to detach . And don't forget about the oil cap when fixing it all back. okay, sir? : )

{: ) Your stabilitrak system may not work properly. The vehicle need to be scanned for trouble codes. In case you get a C0196 code, the recommendation is to reprogram the electronic brake control module. I hope that's the only cause.
