It is hard to say were they might have disconnected the system, but i can give you a few places to check, you stated that you checked the fuses, but lets just make sure , there are 3 fuses for the system in the under hood fuse box there is a 30 amp air/suspn. pump fuse, in the instrument panel fuse box there are 2 fuses #5 & #18 both are 15 amp fuses. also there is an air suspn. relay ( this is what we usealy remove to disable the system ) it is in the under hood relay center. also they may just have unhooked the compressor it is mounted under the hood under the air cleaner assambly. as for the plugins in the trunk i have no idea what they might be , there are allot of things in the trunk of a crown vic. but most likley they are for the power antana.there should not be any thing in the trunk for the air ride other then the service switch.....good luck

let me know if there is any thing else i can do for you.

1992 CROWN VICTORIA LX I REPLACED FUSES INSIDE AND UNDER HOOD FOR AIR RIDE SUSPENSION AND IT STILL WON'T AIR UP. PLEASE HELP

Air ride suspension basically works like this. you have a small air compressor and a sensor that connects between the rear axle and the under body Frame. When this sensor detects a load movement like more or less weight it turns on the air compressor to air up or opens a exhaust valve to let air out. most common problems with this system. broken or disconnected sensor. leak in the air lines between compressor and shocks. or a bad or weak compressor.

I cant find where the air suspension sytem is on my 1996 ford crown vistoria. The air bags on the rear tires will not inflate

make sure its turned on, the switch is in the trunk. The compressor is in RF area ahead of RF tire, the fuse which may be blown is in the fuse box at RF wheel under the hood. if the fuse is blown, its because the compressor has run too long trying to pump up the air bags which are leaking. it may need the bags and compressor, there are several companies that make springs for the rear to replace the bags.

How does one reconnect the air suspension

You probably have a leak in the system. Did "they" check the lines and air suspension? "They" probably disconnected the compressor to keep it from burning out from overuse. You need to fix the leak before reconnecting or the compressor will wear out very quickly.

AIR SUSPENSION DEFLATED!!

I have the same issue. Mine is a leak in the air suspension. The first thing to do is go to your under hood fuse box (the one with the oversized fuses) The fuse will be a 30 amp (large green) fuse. If the fuse is blown just go to Pep Boys,Kragen,or Autozone and they are less than $3.00. If this fixes it the air suspension will fill up within a couple of minutes (with car running) Usually these fuses will blow when you have a leak and the small compressor that fills your suspension gets overworked causing the fuse to blow. If that is the case with your vehicle keep a couple extra fuses handy until you get the car serviced. The only time you should flip the switch to the off position is when you are raising the car on a jack. Make sure the switch is flipped on when you replace the fuse.

The trunk of car is low to the ground, the frontend is high

It sounds to me like your compressor got killed. What probably happened is that the airbag got a hole or tiny crack in it so the compressor has to work extra hard because it is like blowing up a balloon with a hole in it. Therefor the airbag killed the compressor. I would recommend going to strutmasters.com and taking a look at our conversion kits. these convert you from the airbag to a powder coated American made steel coil spring that is guaranteed to last the life of the car. I added the link below so you can check it out.
