I have a 1999 Beetle with 1.8 turbo, when stopped in traffic, at times when you start to move and push on the throttle there is no respones, no rpm increase, pump the throttle many times and still no respones, than it will start to work fine. this happens only after you have stopped and at times when slowing down and down shifting the engine will stall rpm go to 0.

My 1999 jetta keeps overheating. When I stop at the traffic light the temperature moves a little past the 190 mark. When I start moving it slowly goes back to 190. What might the problem be?

Does it make a difference if you increase RPM's when stopped at the traffic light? If so, you have a water flow issue. If not, most likely your radiator fan is not working properly.

Hello. i have the ff. problems with my 1994 honda accord manual: 1. the engine dash "orange" light on and cant find solution from local mechanics: 2. engine rpm is 1300 when starts and 800 rpm...

first engine light is on a reason it has a code stored needs to be read,2.sounds like it needs throttle body cleaning,and3.if clutch is hard means master clutch cyl is bad if hydraulic and if manual cable is worn.

VW New Beetle Turbo GLX stalls, transmission problems.

I have a 2000 Volkswagen beetle turbo as well, and experienced this same problem. It seemed to be especially worse in bad weather. We have taken it various places but no one could seem to fix it since it was sporatic. Finally, we had some hoses replaced, and havent had any problems with it for about a month now.

Car dies when coming off acceleration or at idle in traffic or at a stop. I can watch the Tach go to 0 RPM, some times it will restart immediately other times it is hard to start, so far I have always been able to re-start it and Drive on. Does anybody have verified fix for this issue, I have seen posts saying can and crank sensor, throttle body, EGR, and many more ideas... Do not really want to just start replacing parts with the hope that I eventually get a fix. Help...
