Have a look at your crank sensor. When it starts to fail, It will cause a jeep to suddenly shut off if it stops sending a signal to the ecu, and it usually starts right back up again.

1993 jeep grand Cherokee Larado stalling for no reason. we have looked or changed coil, fuel pump, relays, cam sensor inside distributor, this thing still stalls out, but starts right back up.

Crank sensor. Its on the passenger side on the top of tranny. Will have either 1 or 2 10mm bolts holding it on. And a plug. My 94 had the same problem. It would run fine then you shut it off and all it woild do is crank. Wait like an hour and it will start back up. New crank sensor and it was fine

Third time in the shop. While driving it would just quit. Took awhile to start again. Maybe ok for 5 days. Then same thing. Mechanics can not do the testing because it does stall for them, but starts right...

Hello
I understand your frustration.
If something like this happens it must be some simple problem.
Check all the basics - relays, fuses, fuel filter, spark plugs, battery contacts for dirt interfering good connection.
Check the air filter and air ducts for obstructions.
Hope this helps.

Goes to start and quits already replaced fuel pump checked for fire out dist and coil and have fuel pressure

This may sound strange, but, disconnect the battery for about 20 minutes and then reconnect it. This will reset the computer. Also, check the battery voltage and make sure it is above 11 volts.

Fuel Pump wiring

If I understand right, I would say the normal ground for the pump is bad.
"I am guessing the pump uses a ground source to start." well, just the normal ground like for any motor, you have the power wire (gray) to the pump, then the ground wire for pump, does it branch off near the tank and find a ground? Or does it go into the tank connector and then routed back somewhere through the wiring harness? Anyway, it has to go to ground somewhere. You have the wiring right it sounds,. just make a good ground source, or find the original ground and repair it.

1995 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L Fuel Pump/Check engine light

Could be one of several items...I'd check the fuel pump relay, auto shutdown relay and the ignition switch itself. I'd bet on it being one of those relays but, we all have been fooled at least once!!! I'd also make sure that body and engine grounding is good and clean. Relays can't work properly without a good ground.
