Engine shuts down!

When I turn the engine on and let run to warm up it shuts down. I thought it was the battery so I replace it for a new one but did not work. Everything started when I stopped on a gas station to full my car. When done fuelling I turn the car and immediately turn off. I waited 5 minutes and it turns on just fine but then it stared shaking and turns off. What is going on? Can someone help?

Is there an engine light on? If so, do you have a code for it?

I had a similar issue few days ago. Found out that it is a known issue related to ECM.
Usually it should get covered 8 yr/80000 miles. So get it replaced.

All 2006-07 corollas have this issue according to their tech bulletin.

Engine cuts off when it gets warm have replaced fuel filter

You'll need to figure out if you are loosing spark or fuel pressure when it stops running.
I would say it is something electrical, could be anything from the ignition module to a relay.

When engine warms up it start to surge

Engine stalls cold or RPM fluctuates at idle up and down or dies near idle.

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve but always run a OBD2 fault code as well as the cleaning procedure. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control. If the above cleaning doesn't cure your issues you need to have the computer controlled automatic idle speed control system diagnosed and repaired by a dealer or electronic engine control repair shop.

Car engine just stopped running - out of the blue, no warning.

First thing is to check all the fuses...next would be to look for a burned wire....in the harness that runs behinf the engine.

1997 Mazda dies when warm - runs smooth when cool

possibly a bad module------cracked---or???? In any case you may get expansion as engine compartment warms up----module shuts you down. Sometimes really hard to diagnose and just putting in a new module is "spendy"----especially if it turns out not to solve the problem!
