1987 hONDA CIVIC CRX 300 THOUSAND MI. HAVING CHARGING ISSUES. NEW BATTERY-ALTERNATOR-WHAT ELSE CAN I TRY

It could have bad wire connection to the alternator, When the car runs try disconnecting the battery if it stays running the alternator is good and the wiring is good. If it dies then the alternator or the wiring is bad.

My 91 honda crx wont keep my battery charged with a good alternator whats draining the power

You didn't mention how old the battery is but it could be that it has reached the the end of it's life. Just about anyplace that sells batteries will test it for free. As for a draw, it is possible for any number of things to run down the battery overnight including the diodes inside the alternator. (yes it can make a charge and still have a bad diode) Even the battery itself can be internally shorted. To determine if something in the cars electrical system is causing the draw, the next time you park it disconnect the battery, if it is dead the next day...viola' you have a bad battery. If not you have some more work to do. Try step one and if that doesn't get you anywhere, get back on here and we can go over what to do next.

Battery keeps going dead. Installed new Honda battery, checked charging rate while running, 14.5 volts and battery static voltage is 12.65. After sitting for one day, car won't start, lights but no sound,...

diode pack on the alternator is most likely suspect ,alternator will charge but drains to earth when not running ,pull the big terminal lead off and see if it goes flat overnight

Car does not start.

Yes, I would have the battery fully charged and load tested. Most local parts stores can test it for you. Takes a hour or so.

the wiring harness rubs in half. trace the wires from the alternator back. Under the intake manifold about middle ways you should find the broken wire.

2003 Honda Accord. Dies when I try to put it in drive

you are having a problem with your alternator. the battery has a main purpose to start the vehicle, keep computer memory, and give power to electrical components when the key is in the on position. the alternator charges the battery and gives power to electrical components when the vehicle is running. now when you hit the brakes there was an extra load added to the alternator and if the car died then the alternator is running very weak and needs to be relace.

Have to jump every day if not driven and revs funny

what sounds like is a failing battery plus the reving is cause by the sensor in the air flow meter, for that buy a can of air flow cleaner and clean the air flow meter and all the intake system.
