Nissan 3.0 Hardbody Turbo Diesel

As soon as the rev's get to 3000 rpm, a blowing noise is heard and the truck seems to lose power as well. The idiling is 100% and oil leaks is visible

Do you think it is the turbo giving problems?

Thanks

Your description sounds like a waste-gate problem.
These are intended to prevent overpressure from the turbo and yours might be faulty.

The oil leaks may not be related to the other problem - Jeez, would love to own some vehicle that never leaks oil from somewhere.

Toyota Corolla 2 Litre diesel. Why loss of power at low revs when warm?

Sounds like piston blow by, as the gap increases and diesels have such high compression. When the turbo kicks in, the pressure is restored.

I have a 2.5 nissan hardbody turbo diesel. Sometimes when i press the ecelerator it doesnt want to react as when you rev the maschine. when holding the pedal in it will slowly rev up but very slowly.

Go to see your local Mr Nissan as there is something wrong with the fuel system and the motor is not getting its fuel quick enough to rev the motor

Why does my 1995 nissan pick up lose power and speed on uphill inclines?

If you keep the RPMS (tach) up to 3000 and above (DONT REDLINE YOU'LL BLOW YER MOTOR UP!) At 3000 RPM to 3500 -4000 RPM is where these motors posses what i figure is a power band that handles most inclines. Down shifting included. DRIVE SAFE
