I just changed the battery and starter in my 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan EX, 3.8L fwd. I have four lights on the instrument panel that are flashing.. (rear window wiper, intermentent rear wiper, AC button, and recirculate button). Im not sure if this is a common problem but i wanted to ask an expert. Please get back with me as soon as possible. My next move is to disconnect the battery again and hope it resets?

First off, whenever you disconnect battery on Chrysler products (or about any other these days) when reconnecting ALWAYS!!! Connect ground cable (-) LAST. You can try re-connecting battery as you mentioned and "maybe" it will cure your lights. But if it doesn't have local parts store scan your fault codes & reset your lights.

For 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan, instrument clusters with light when ignition turn on, but there's no crank and no start. Battery just changed five months ago

I have a similar problem. Do you also notice the gauges on the instrument panel going out from time to time? (Have to slap the dashboard.) I have been told the start problem is related to a problem with the instrument panel (a control unit contained therein). I have found at times turning the key to the ON position for a few seconds (odometer lights stabilize) before moving to the START position sometimes helps.

Unfortunately, replacing the instrument cluster/control unit can cost up to $600-700. I am not a mechanic, but have inquired about this for my own Caravan. Good luck.

Instrument panel lights out on 01 Dodge Grand

These vans have had issues with the PIN connections to the instrument clusters. With time the solder on the main PIN connection will begin to fail. The good news this may be repaired at home. First you'll need to remove the instruments. To do so remove the dash components from around the instruments then the (4) screws) that hold the instruments in place. Carefully detach the wire connection from the back of it; take to a well lit area. Look for a PIN with a failed solder joint (this will appear as a slight black or grey circle. If found apply heat and let solder be gin to flow; the allow to cool and reassemble. If you look at my history you'll see I've helped others with this issue.
