What make , model an year vehicle do you have ? A lot of vehicles from 2000 on have electronic throttle control , do you have any lights lit on the dash - check engine , ETC ? does your vehicle have a message center with a message of reduced engine power etc.. or if yours is older could have a broken throttle cable !

Well i think you need a new computer or a good testing of your electronic board sorry man

check the ground and look for the body modual water could have gotenin the conector

You will need to have the electronic engine control module scanned for fault codes, there will be a code even if thelight is not on.

I have an 08 Sebring and mine has been having the etc light come on and the car will stall..with little to no notice. It's at the dealer right now and they can't figure out what is causing this because the light doesn't stay on once you turn off the car and restart it. It's kind of relieving to me that someone else is having this problem. Hopefully Chrysler can figure out what the deal is with this!!

the problem was not before but is after engine work
suggests harness connection , pinched wires to the inlet manifold
problem throttle control sensor or possible an ECM corruption
