Wipers on kia rio are not moving although motor can be heard

i have never heard of anything like this in my life, im sorry but i am sitting here laughing..

It can be due to few reasons which you msut check:
1. The fuse to the rear wiper is blown, check on the fuse panel with and replace.
2. the wiper motor supply if present and measured , then the wiper motor is faulty, motor winding, mechansim struck or brush .
3. The wire to the motor is open , it can happen at the HATCH DOOR. so if no power is present , you need to check this out.

the pivots that hold the wiper arm are probaly stripped or one of the arms have come off

the valves are stopping the piston from rotating,or the engine is seized up. was the belt bad? your motor could be ruined.

check to see if any movement from the wiper arm, maybe nut has come loose

YES IT IS , PISTONS WILL HIT VALVE CAUSING THEM TO BENT. GOOD LUCK.

Take off the pipe at the pump then use the washer switch and see if the water sprays out. To check if the pump is working you will need someone to use the switch while you hold your hand on the pump you should feel or hear the pump working. If the pump is going but no water spraying blow back through it and try again. If it dosent work then you will probably need a pump.

The battery is only use to start the car, once the car is moving the alternator takes over and charges the battery. I sounds like the alternator is bad. You take the alternator to Napa, Auto Zone or Advance auto part and have them check it for you.

The wiper arm has teeth on it that hold it the spindle, those teeth wear out and let the wiper arm flop all over. You need a new wiper arm, if it is under warranty I'd take it in, if not changing awiper arm is easy. I've seen this on several kias, and also on other foriegn cars. It is just a bad design in my opinion.

Hi,this could be a bad timing belt , you can check it by removing the oil cap and have some one crancking the engine look inside,, if the valves does not move while the engine is turning you have a broken timing belt.......
