Where is the blower motor control module/resistor on a 97 ford contour

Speed control resistors are in the air plenum near the blower motor for just about any vehicle. This may require removing the glove compartment - also a mostly straightforward thing. Look for dampers on the sides to remove. Then for the resistor, look for 4-5 wires feeding the air plenum that are inline and near the blower motor.

BLOWERMOTOR

Is there a blower resistor module and/or relay? The blower resistor module often has a zener diode that burns out over time.(If you find this issue, see if you have a plugged up cabin air filter also).

1998 ford contour blower motor not working

I have a 1998 Ford Contour. Believe it or not the ABS and the Blower Motor share the same fuse. It's a yellow 60 amp and you have to take off the battery to get at it. Of course this happened twice in the 6 years I had the car, both times in the dead of winter. Tires Plus in Pennsauken, NJ replaced it. Other than that, no complaints with my Contour.

98 ford contour blower motor

This sounds like a ground issue or a relay. If you take the car to a major auto parts store they can run a diagnostic for free usually to see what it is.
