1991 mazda b2200 starts up and runs for a few minutes then shuts off

thats the A.I.R. system check valves.

i have the same problem it turns over and its back firing could it be timing

The catalytic converter may be pluged. Take the 3 big hoses off the air cleaner and see if it runs better.

The only thing to do is get a diagram from the MAZDA dealer parts dept. "A few parts fell out" is way to vague to help you.

Not a solution but i am going through the exact same nightmare and same symptoms with my 1991 mazda b2200. I've apwnt over two grand to have my rebuilt TWICE and my alternator replaced and still does the same thing just starts only to die 2 seconds or so later unless i let it warm up to its max but will still die when taking turns and stopping at lights.

My mazda b2200 starts and will stay running as long as the key is in the start position, but stops as soon as the key is turned from the start position
