There are two screws in the arm rest. And the rest of the door panel is held on by plastic clips on the back side. Start at the bottom of the door panel and pull out. The door panel will feel like it is going to break but the clips will break way before the door panel. Every door panel that I have taken off I have broken at least one of the clips. You can get the new clips at Autozone. But make sure that you take a broken one with you. Because they have a bunch of different sizes. When you get to the top of the door you will have to lift up to get it all the way off. Then you will have to unplug the wiring for power windows, locks, and mirrors.

1997 toyota land cruiser right rear window not working

Have a look at your disconnected terminals and see which connections work what. You indicated some work at connector but not on motor?
Its possible that a bad solder job inside the motor may be keeping the reverse rotation of the motor from occurring. Jump the terminal with a power source and see if the motor terminal is dead. Some motors do not come apart. If you go to a Salvage yard, they may know how to test your old one and bring it along to match up. Often the left and right sides are different.

Cannot roll up passenger front power window

There could be several possible reasons for this including a bad switch in the driver's window control switch. The most common cause is a bad window lift motor or a broken window regulator, each of which requires disassembly of the door panel to repair.

Driver's side power window. Can hear relay click but window will not operate.

The window motor use a plastic drive tape to lift and lower the window and over time the plastic wears out or starts to break apart this causes binding and stops the motor from being able to move the window. The door panel will need to be removed to inspect the parts. jcwhitney.com sells a spool of drive tape that will repair 4 window motors. It could also be that the motor has burnt out and will need to be replaced.

How do you get the driver's door latch out past the window guide?

Remove all screws around the outer edge of the door panel. Carefully pry off the decorative cover behind the door handle and remove the torix screw. Lift up firmly on the door panel to remove. To reinstall, line up molded plastic hooks on back of door panel with notches in the door, push down to secure, reinstall torix screw, decorative cover and screws.
Also before you lift away the panel, you'll need to undo the electrical connectors for the power window and door locks

It is best to get the whole power window regulator assembly from the junkyard, which includes the power window motor. Cost should be no more than $40. Remove interior door trim panel by removing all screws and pulling up on the door panel. Unbolt existing window regulator assembly and slide guides from aluminum window track (you will have to uncrimp one end of track). Installation is the reverse of removal (remember to recrimp aluminum window track after reassembly). I did this repair in 45 minutes, power window worked like new. Good Luck!

does the voltmeter needle move when you activate the window switch? compare to a window that works, slight movement to show power being used is normal. if yes, then the motor is getting power, its either the motor or regulator, easy to get at most parts stores. if nothing, then the motor is likely not getting power, it is likely the switch in the drivers door if the other windows work.

My drivers side window will not go up or down anymore. All the other windows will go up and down from the main switch on the drivers side door. What can I do to make it work?

probly need to take the door apart and see whats keeping it from rolling up. If the motor went bad theres your problem but if a clip or something broke loose and fell it may have wedged itself in the lifting mechanism
