A code P0441 could mean one or more of the following has happened:
* Bad vacuum switch
* Broken or damaged EVAP line or canister
* Open in PCM purge command circuit
* Open or short in Voltage feed circuit to Purge Solenoid
* Faulty purge solenoid
* Restriction in EVAP solenoid, line or canister
* Corrosion or resistance in purge connector
* Bad PCM

Possible Solutions: With a P0441 OBD-II trouble code, diagnosis can be tricky at times. Here are some things to try:
* Common Chrysler fix - Replace Leak Detection Pump / LDP
* Repair damaged EVAP lines or canister
* Repair open or short in voltage feed circuit to Purge Solenoid
* Repair open in PCM purge command circuit
* Replace purge Solenoid
* Replace vacuum switch
* Repair restriction in Evap line or canister or soleniod
* Repair resistance in purge connector
* Replace PCM

2005 Kia Optima w/ Trouble code PO441; stalls after filling up with gas - how do I fix it?

Here's a link for p0441 (not po441) http://www.obd-codes.com/p0441
P0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow.
Since it happens when it fills up, you'd have to look at what happens with a almost full tank (you stop about a gallon before full), vs a full (gasp pump stopped when full) tanks. Something might be happening when gas gets to far up the filling tube. Maybe there is a vent line with a valve that's getting gas in there causing the fault. I'm not a kia expert, but If stopping the gas pump yourself fixes the problem, then stop "topping off"

P0441 Code. Natural Vacuum Leak Detection (NVLD)?

Look at the following link. It definatly does make sence but possibly not the problem. Personaly I would probably start there after looking at the gas cap & hoses to the charhol canister. http://www.permoveo.ltd.uk/tabid/122/OBD-Error-Code/P0441/Diagnostics/Dodge/Default.aspx

I have a 2003 kia optima and it failed the emissions and gave the p0441 code. what is the problem? Or the most common problem may be.

the p0441 code has to do with the fuel i have heard of people simply replacing the gas cap or simply cleaning it to get the p0441 code to go away you may need a new cap thoe. the canister purge valve would need replaced if that dosent work. those are the most common fixes. i hope this info helps you
