98 Ford Taurus 3.0 v6 Everytime I turn on the ignition the horn goes on and car won't turn over

hello...If it is a Tauras Lx , most likely... it has a factory installed alarm. Before anything else ... go to the door lock . lock it... it. make sure all the doors are locked. then open it with the key , not the clicker. It should stop and reset the alarm. If not call the dealer with the VIN number. Posted on the door on a tag or on the lower left (drivers) side window. They will or should be able to tell. you. Call the Parts dept. or Service, if they are honest they will help you, free. thanks

After replacing my battery in my 1998 ford taurus the horn continually blares. I have tried putting the key in the ignition and turning it to on, horn keeps blaring and car won't stop. Also

Your horn relay may be shorting out, making your horn operate all the time. Have a look at your relays. You might find the horn relay is the same as another relay, If it is, try swapping relays with a known good one, and see if the horn operates normally. If so, get a new relay. Good-Day!

Relay for 2006 ford taurus horn location

it's located in the power distribution box. the power distribution box is located in the engine compartment next to the battery on a 1999 Taurus. for your 2006, start by checking for the power distribution box near the battery.

I am trying to install a new battery on my 2000 ford taurus and when connecting the negative the horn starts blowing and wont stop and the car wont start

when the horn starts to honk just put the key in the ignition and turn the car to on, you can also use the key to lock and unlock the drivers door, you are activating the security system by disconnecting the battery doing the above disarms it, if it still won't disarm then you need to see the dealer on this problem

2001 Ford Taurus auto locking door lock programming

CLICK HERE for the owners manual you require.

The instructions can be found on page 78.

There are 2 methods to enable/disable this feature. One through your
dealer and the second with a door lock sequence using the following
instructions:
1. Turn the ignition key to RUN, then press the door UNLOCK control
button 3 times.
2. Turn the ignition key to OFF, then press the door UNLOCK control
button 3 times.
3. Turn the ignition key to RUN, within five seconds press the door
UNLOCK control button 1 time.
The user should receive a horn chirp to indicate the system has been
altered.
Pressing the power door UNLOCK control button again will toggle the
Autolock/Relock states.
² Turn ignition to OFF to exit.

Auto door locking on Ford Mondeo

It sounds like it has been deactivated so we are going to reactivate the auto lock.

The numbers I will be saying will have to do with getting this to work so:
you will need to put the key in to the ignition switch.

1= is back to listen to the radio
2= is to get key out
3= is just before you start
4= is for starting your car

When we do this 1 and 4 will not be used
Do this and we will hope that it works like it should:

1: Turn the ignition with you key up to on( don't start)

2: Press the power door lock control 3 times

3: now turn the key back once (to off position)

4: Press the power door unlock control 3 times

5: ok turn the ignition back up 1 time. (The horn should chirp)

6: Then press the unlock control, then press the lock control, again (horn will chirp 1's) If auto lock
was activated.

7: Turn the ignition back 1's, Then the horn should chirp once to confirm the procedure was completed.

Door keeps unlocking and alarm keeps coming on

it sounds like it is in the door lock actuator and the security mode itself now if you have a remote starter installed you may have to take it back to the person who installed it because the problem maybe in your security system
