I have a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu it wants to stalls after I start it. I have to stay on the gas to keep it from stalling. And after I drive it sometimes it does not want to start back up. I have to give it a few minutes. Is this a major problem. It only happens once a month. Like right now its running fine.

TCC solenoid could be bad,, try first unplugging the 4 wire blue clip of the TCC located at the front of the transmission,, if this fix the problem so then have the solenoid changed by experts,, do not leave it just unplugged.

I had to replace my Idle Air Control Valve and Throttle Position Sensor.

I had this same problem on my 2005 monte carlo, took mechanic a while to figure out it was the idle air control valve. They also replace the idle air control motor.
