Open the truck & remove philips head screw that is located to the left of the tail light housing in the trunk lid weatherstripping housing area. Next unscrew the trunk lining screw to fold back the trunk lining to get at the two plastic wing nuts that hold the light housing.

Unscrew these two wing nuts and slide the housing out, then remove the bulbs and replace. Bulbs come out similarly to how you'd replace the front headlight bulbs (unplug, twist counter-clockwise to unlock and remove old bulb, replace with new bulb and turn clockwise to lock, plug back in).

I have 1991 Nissan maxima. All my lights, tail lights and brake lights work EXCEPT my left brake light. Changed the bulbs and still dont work. Can someone help?

Pull the bulb back out and look in the plug. They get corroded and the tabs will spread apart and/ or break off. Bend them back if they are there, replace it , if not.. If it looks good, you need to use an ohm meter and check continuity of the tabs to the wire. They usually break close to the plugs.

How to replace brake lights bulbs. When step on the brake, my window light comes on but the other lights does not come on. The park lights and signal light works, except the brakes lights don't work....

I think your break light bulb is damage and not able to work properly so you need to change it so you can give your vehicle to mechanic to repair break light bulb.

Break lights not working properly

hi
silly thing to sugest but would you have the brake/side light bulbs in the wrong way? if you look closley at the bulbs there is two pins either side on the round silver part. 1 pin sits higher than the other, make sure you fit the bulbs in the bulb holders to match the pins on the bulb sounds complicated but it realy is an easy mistake to make.

My brake lights stop working . So I replacd yhe light bulb but the brake light still don't work.

I know what it is. I have the same problem. Try, when pressing the break, pulling your turning signal lever towards yourself, but not all the way to turn on the brights. If your breaks light up then you need a new turn signal switch. Part of the switch disables the break lights when that flasher comes on, but when it goes bad, it wont let the lights com on at all.

Break light problem

Do you know if the brake light bulbs are working? (are the bulbs good?). (the bulbs have two parts, one for brake lights the other for running lights)
If the third brake light bulb is working the brake lights should be with good light bulbs.
