IAT MEAN INTAKE AIR TEMP SENSOR.
IT IS ON THE MAIN AIR INDUCTION TUBE TO THE TB, THROTTLE BODY,
SOME CARS IT IS PART THE THE MAF SENSOR;.
why ask this, with no context or symptoms or scan results
the PCm will tell you it is bad if if is bad. scanned

Hi Terry: The IAT sensor is a thermistor which supplies intake air temperature
information to the PCM. The IAT is located in or near the air intake duct.
Fig. 1: On VIN 8 engines, the MAT (or IAT) is mounted in the intake plenum
Fig. 2: On most vehicles, the IAT sensor is threaded into the throttle body extension
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback

The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is the same as the Manifold Air Temperature (MAT) sensor on earlier models. IAT is located in or near the air intake duct (click image for zoom).
Fig.: On 1996-98 vehicles, the IAT sensor is mounted in the rear air intake duct
Hope this helps (remember to rate this free answer).
The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor determines the air temperature
inside the intake manifold. Resistance changes in response to the
ambient air temperature. The sensor has a negative temperature
coefficient. As the temperature of the sensor rises the resistance
across the sensor decreases. This provides a signal to the PCM
indicating the temperature of the incoming air charge. This sensor helps
the PCM to determine spark timing and air/fuel ratio. Information from
this sensor is added to the pressure sensor information to calculate the
air mass being sent to the cylinders. The IAT is a two wire sensor, a
5-volt reference signal is sent to the sensor and the signal return is
based upon the change in the measured resistance due to temperature.

I'll assume you mean the IAT (intake air temperature) sensor. And while i'm not very familiar with the exact motor in your vehicle, the sensors are generally mounted on the Intake tube from the air box to the throttle body, sometimes mounted on the air box itself, or possibly even built into the Mass Air flow sensor. Which will be mounted most likely on the air box before the intake tube.
There is more than one water temperature sensor. One is for the ECM and the other for the guages. If the ECM one is unplugged it won't affect the gauges.
well if you mean iat it is part of the masflow air sensor system witch is on the air intake system may be in witch is hooked to the air cleaner box should round tube with wires going to it any way the code you posted is not right hope this helps
IAT is incoming air temperature sensor. Look from intake air hose/duct up to throttle body, for sensor that sticks into side or top of ducting that airflow coming in through there, or at front of throttle body area.
But anyways, the AIT should be in the MAF Sensor. Hence all the wires.
OK so i havent taken apart a MAF sensor and neither should you, its a pricey item.
But I do know this; An AIT is an NTC sensor meaning that when tempurature goes resistance goes down and when resistance goes down Voltage goes up. Now one thing you can do is find a wiring diagram of the maf sensor and the vehicles computer. And on there it will show you which wire goes to the AIT.
The IAT or MAT sensor (as equipped), is a thermistor (resistor which changes value based on temperature) mounted either in the air intake snorkel or the manifold (depending on the application).
