Need to replace the transmission cooling lines from radiator to transmission. Are the ends just screwed into the radiator or are they pressed

Radiators on automatics have a separate reservoir for transm. fluid cooling purposes. Didn't you remove the transm. fluid cooling lines from the radiator-a feed line to the radiator and a return line from radiator to the transmission? They are small steel lines that connect on the end of the radiator.

Removal

1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Reclaim the air conditioning refrigerant.
3. Remove the motor and shroud.
4. NOTE: Seal the line and the evaporator with plugs.

Detach the air conditioning line. Raise the vehicle.

Remove the lower radiator splash shield.

NOTE: The splash shield is equipped with hinges which should be treated with care on removal. Remove the radiator splash shield.
Detach the securing clips.
Remove the radiator splash shield.
NOTE: Seal the line and the evaporator with plugs and Detach the air conditioning line.

1. Detach the lower coolant hose.
   
   
2. Remove the air conditioning condenser. Remove the securing screws.
3. NOTE: Vehicles with manual transmission, cable tie the cooling radiator
4. tach the automatic transmission/power steering cooler.
   Remove the securing screws.
   Detach the automatic transmission/power steering cooler.
   
   1. Lower the vehicle. Remove the radiator foam trim.
   Remove the radiator.
   

You won't go far this way. Its cheaper to tow it than replace a transmission. There are a few fluid lines to check at the transmission. Several servos and the speedometer sender are in the case.
They have gaskets and the plastic may crack. The Transmission pan can leak. The fill tube can separate from the transmission.

If the leak is coming from the inspection cover next to the engine, it can be a front seal, and if the leak is coming from where the drive-shaft slides into the transmission housing, that's a tail-shaft seal.

The fluid lines run to the front of the SUV to the Radiator where there are cooling lines going into the bottom of the Radiator. It can leak from a Radiator tank hole because there are 2 separate tanks in the Radiator. Then all you do is replace the Radiator. On some models there may be a separate Air cooled Auxiliary radiator, not to be confused with a power steering cooler.

The fluid lines will rust and need replacing. If you are trying to make a line, there are different flares for the tubing ends. Bring in your bad part to match it up.

I hope my solution is helpful to you. You need to be under the SUV to see anything. Even a quick change lube bay would make it possible to find a leak.

Radiator Removal

1. Drain the cooling system by removing the radiator cap and attaching a 9.5mm (3/8-inch) inside diameter hose to the draincock nipple, located at the lower rear corner of the radiator tank. Then, open the draincock and allow the coolant to flow through the hose into a suitable container.

1. Remove the rubber overflow tube from the radiator and store it out of the way.

1. Remove the shroud's or finger guard's two upper attaching screws. Lift the shroud out of the lower retaining clips and drape it on the fan.

1. Loosen upper and lower hose clamps at the radiator and remove hoses from the radiator connectors.

1. For vehicles with automatic transmissions:
   1. Disconnect the two transmission cooling lines from the oil cooler fittings on the radiator. Intermediate flare fittings as shown remain as originally installed.
1. Disconnect the transmission cooler tube support bracket from the bottom flange of the radiator by removing the screw.

1. Remove the two radiator upper attaching screws.

1. Tilt the radiator back (rearward) approximately 25mm (one inch) and lift directly upward, clear of the radiator support and the cooling fan.

1. If either hose is to be replaced, loosen clamp at the engine end and slip the hose off the connections with a twisting motion.

1. Lift the shroud off the fan and remove from the vehicle.

1. Remove the radiator lower support rubber insulators.

they make a special tool for the plastic clip, but you can got away with a couple of small screw drivers and press the clip edges in and pull the line out to get to the o-ring

WARINING
Do not remove the cylinder block drain plugs or loosen the radiator drain **** with the system hot and under pressure. Serious burns from coolant can occur.

WARNING When removing the radiator or A/C condenser for any reason, note the location of all radiator- to-body and radiator-to-A/C condenser rubber air seals. These are used at the top, bottom and sides of the radiator and A/C condenser. To prevent overheating, these seals must be installed to their original positions.

Removal & Installation:

1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
2. Remove radiator pressure cap.
3. For access to radiator draincock, remove radiator grill mounting screws and remove grill.
4. Attach one end of a 24 inch long x 1 / 4 inch ID hose to the radiator petcock Put the other end into a clean container. Open petcock and drain radiator.
5. Detach power steering fluid reservoir from fan shroud and lay aside.
6. Disconnect electric cooling fan electrical connector, if equipped
7. Disconnect CRS hose from radiator filler neck and remove from shroud retaining loops.
8. Remove the four (4) viscous fan/drive assembly nuts from the water pump pulley and remove fan/drive assy.
9. Remove the four (4) fan shroud to core support mounting screws.
10. Remove the electric fan (if equipped) and shroud assembly from the vehicle
11. Remove radiator upper crossmember.
12. If equipped with air conditioning, separate radiator from condenser by removing condenser-to-radiator mounting brackets.
13. Disconnect upper and lower radiator hoses.
14. If equipped, disconnect and plug automatic transmission fluid cooler lines. Quick Connect Fitting Release Tool 6935 may be needed. If equipped with remote transmission cooler, remove line to cooler from bracket at bottom of radiator
15. Lift radiator straight up and out of engine compartment taking care not to damage fins.
16. If radiator is to be replaced, be sure to remove and transfer any components not included with replacement radiator.

To install:

1. The radiator is supplied with two alignment dowels. They are located on the bottom tank and fit into rubber grommets in the radiator lower crossmember.
2. Lower radiator into engine compartment. Position alignment dowels into rubber grommets in radiator lower crossmember.
3. If equipped with air conditioning, attach condenser to radiator with mounting brackets
4. Install radiator upper crossmember and four mounting bolts.
5. Install radiator upper crossmember-to-isolator nuts. Tighten nuts to 86 inch lbs. (10 Nm) torque. If isolator-to-radiator nuts had been removed, tighten them to 47 inch lbs. (5 Nm).
6. Connect radiator upper and lower hoses.
7. If equipped, connect automatic transmission fluid cooler lines. If equipped with remote cooler, attach cooler line to bracket at bottom of radiator.
8. Install electric fan (if equipped) and shroud assembly. Insert alignment tabs at bottom of fan shroud into slots in bracket at bottom of radiator. Tighten mounting bolts to 31 inch lbs. (3 Nm).
9. Connect electric cooling fan electrical connector.
10. Install power steering reservoir to fan shroud.
11. Install grill.
12. Connect battery negative cable.
13. Fill cooling system with correct coolant.
14. Install pressure cap.
15. Check and adjust automatic transmission fluid level (if equipped)
16. Start engine and visually check for leaks.

Detach the automatic transmission/power steering cooler. Lower the vehicle. Remove the radiator foam trim. Remove the radiator. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

2. Disable the SIR.
3. Move the forwarding discriminating sensor out of the way.
4. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
5. Remove the cooling fans.
6. Disconnect the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
1. Disconnect the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.
2. Disconnect the engine oil cooler lines from the right radiator end tank.
3. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the left radiator end tank.
4. Remove the left and the right engine torque struts.
1. Remove the upper radiator support screws.
2. Remove the radiator from the vehicle. Lift the radiator up and out. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the radiator to the vehicle.
2. Install the upper radiator support screws. Tighten the bolts to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.). NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the transmission oil cooler lines to the radiator. Tighten the transmission oil cooler line fittings to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
4. Connect the engine oil cooler lines to the radiator. Tighten the engine oil cooler lines to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the left and the right engine support torque struts.Connect the radiator outlet hose to the radiator.
1. Connect the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
2. Install the cooling fans.
3. Install the air cleaner assembly.
4. Install the forward discriminating sensor.
5. Enable the SIR.
6. Refill the coolant.

actually just installed in fron of the radiator it should come with some kind if zip ties or something to atached to radiator the look for the transmission cooling lines most of time they are like 5/16 to 3/8 of an inch thick and they are atached on the side of radiator, then get transmission cooling roober line and continue the lines to the cooler and also get 4 hose clamps to install on the hoses ends
