Problem 5: Engine Cranks But won't Start

turning over is cranking but not starting/running
not turning over indicates seized motor , bad battery starter motor problems , bad ground
turning over is cranking but not starting ---broken timing belt/chain, crank/cam position sensors , no fuel , no spark , no injector operation
best run the fault codes as the fauty will be recorded there

"Turn over" and "crank" are the same thing. Does the starter engage and the engine turn over? If not then you may have a bad wire on the starter, which is a common problem. If it does turn over but won't start then you either have no spark and/or no fuel and you need to have a technician look it over.

To clarify - the engine cranks but won't start, or the engine does not crank ?

turn over and crank, mean the same thing. do you mean will not crank? or cranks but wont run? it could be anything. you need to figure out "if" it does crank, but wont run, is it missing spark or fuel?

explain more............ what kind of plugs, wont crank????? turn over or turn over and wont start, crank no fire???? changing spark plugs wont stop a truck from running.

No spark, ck the crank position sensor. bolted on engine at the front crank pully. Good luck. unplug and plug it back in to clean the wire connection/

Not sure what yor experiencing . Do you have crank no start or no crank no start? No crank no start is battery and cables issue. Crank no start is ignition , plugs, and fuel.
