Sounds like worn ball joints or/and tie rod ends. When the transmission shifts, power is momentarily removed from the front wheels. Worn components (expected now on a 2001) allow the wheels to change direction slightly, hence the "weaving" you mention.
Warped brake rotor usually cause high vibration at high speeds. But you can also feel it at lower speeds. But bad ball joints and tie rod end will cause vibration at high speeds. Ball joints will pop at pot holes, sometimes. Tie rods can be felt in the steering wheel at a stop. Move the wheel slightly to the left and right, you can feel/hear a tap as you turn it.
1- front wheel bearing hub loose or loose axle nut 2- front shock(s) 3- ball joint(S) 4- lower control arm bushing(s) all of these things can be checked by a professional in about 15 minutes and should be relatively painless financially
I suggest having the steering and front suspension systems checked, including: ball joints, tie rod ends, steering dampener (if equipped), upper and lower control arm bushings, hub bearings. I would also have the U-joints and motor mounts inspected in the process.
YOU MAY NEED TO REPLACE THE LOWER CONTROL ARM AND BALL JOINT AS AN ASSEMBLE. AFTER MARKET BALL JOINT ARE AVAILABLE BUT MOST LIKELY WON'T WORK. GO TO THE DEALER TO GET THE PARTS.
best guess is to have the CV joints checked, make sure that the boots are good in the outside joints. but it could also be the inside joint just has to much wear. you are at the right mileage for either to be the problem, the next time you get the vibration put a little pressure on the steering wheel in one direction then the other and see if the vibration goes away if it does suspect the CV joints. and don't just replace the outside joint replace both half shafts. if the vibration does not change or go away when you put pressure on the steering wheel then suspect lower ball joints.
Me too i think it a cv joint problem a cv joint got 3 rond bearing when turning each rond ball goes in a chanel it spin in there sometime that chanel get damaged a little hole appear and in occasion the ball get stuck in that hole and that your bad vibration
i gave you example
