The all-black-plastic manifolds are susceptible to cracking. You should inspect the manifold carefully for cracks, but it might be hard to see if it is cracked underneath. You could try replacing just the thermostat housing, but if you still get leaks, you will probably need to replace the manifold as well. Ford recalled some fleet cars for this issue, but not all cars affected.

You send it off to the promised land. You can buy a working crown Vic for the same price a repair will cost you.

My 2002 crown vic is misfiring and the check engine light flashes when speeds of over twenty miles of hour are reached. Is it safe to drive. How can I fix this

you can drive it but it will damage your catalyst system, that is why the klight flashes to let you know other problems can develop. the car being a 2002 it has a misfire monitor in the computer. go to a local parts house and have them scan for misfire codes to see which cylinder is misfiring. make sure you check the intake at the #5 cylinder (which is the first one on the left side of the engine)to see if it is getting coolant in it from the intake leaking at the thermostat housing.

The temperature gauge sending unit is located in the front section of the intake manifold, just to the right of the alternator on the 4.6L engines. Got this from autozones repair manuals

I had my intake manifold replace and my car started up then less tham 30 seconds my whole car shutoff. i found water in my oil pan drained it and replace all fluies and it still won't start up

water in oil pan? try taking out the spark plugs and turning car over. Is there coolant/water coming out? If so you need Head gaskets or intake gaskets weren't done properly. If this problem wasn't there before gaskets were done I'ld strongly suggest looking at intake gaskets again.

1992 crown vic with 78K miles. Started skipping

Replace you Maf sensor and have a nice day. lol does the hesitation go away when you let off the gas. does it buck hesitate and misfire under load? most common problem is the maf sesnor.
easy to change. don't buy a used part it may develop the same problem after a little while. you can try cleaning the wire inside with brake cleaner (not intake cleaner). it may or may not help.

2003 cvpi wing mirror

first of all if you have the new mirror off of a crown vic or grand marquise there is nothing to worry about wiring because you have to take the door panel off and once off all you have to do is plug in the new mirror the same way you took the old one off
