My check oil light came on and I immediately stopped and put oil in my car. Later that day when I drove the car again, the oil light was still on. I stopped and put in more oil. When I went to drive off, the car wouldn't start. I think I put waaaaay too much oil in it! I had it towed to a repair shop where they are draining out the oil. The mechanic said that he thinks that some of the oil got into my cylinders. What does that mean? What should they do to fix it? Is my car gonna still be able to drive? About how much should fixing it cost me? (my car is a 2005 Hyundai Accent)

Did you check the oil? The low oil sensor will disable the ignition if more than a quart low. check oil often. Crank sensors rarely go bad

Buick rendevous 2002, 23,000 original miles. sat for about 5 years outside. drove fine first day. 2nd day i drove 10 feet and all oil poured out. it was coming out oil sensor. we replaced oil sensor...

Check the opening around the oil filter outlet and make sure that there is no gasket still on the housing. Fram filters are famous for its gasket coming off and sticking to the surface of the inlet. When you tighten the new filter it crimps the new gasket and leaks all the oil out. I have had this happen to me twice. No more Fram filters for me. Buy PUROLATER. Hope this helps

2002 buick rendevous oil pressure problem

Check and make sure that the old filter gasket is not still on the housing. Fram filters are famous for coming off and sticking to the surface of the inlet. When you tighten the new filter it crimps the new gasket and leaks all the oil. I have had this problem twice so no more Fram filters for me. Buy PUROLATER they seem to be the best and they don't cost much more. Hope this helps

Oil light blinking on 2005 vw gti

Check your owners manual for the procedure to reset the oil change indicator. Sounds like the oil was changed but the reminder was not reset.
