Air bags are usually covered for life by the dealer call them first. The problem could be a dirty connector, failed sensor or faulty wiring. Many auto parts stores provide free error code scanning and will scan it while you wait.

Welcome to Fixya.com. If your warning light is on it is indicating a problem within the system. Disconnect battery for 10 mins to let all the residual power out of system. If , after you reconnect battery, light stays on you will need to take car to some one who has the right tools to work on it. Tools as in computer that can hook up to the air bag system and communicate with the air bag computer. Regards, Lee Davidian

2008 F150 Regular cab I think the dealership un hook my light to airbag so now my warning buzzar will not stop going off please help before I go crazy?

Why would the dealer unhook the air bag light ? Turn the key to the on position ,is the air bag light lit ? That would be ******* for the deal to disable air bag light . An besides ,there is no buzzer for a non working airbag light. So take it back to the dealer.

Air Bag Warning Indicator The instrument cluster is hardwired to the restraint control module (RCM). If an air bag system concern is detected, a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is logged, and the RCM provides a ground path to the instrument cluster, turning on the air bag indicator

If there is a problem with the airbag system a DTC- diagnostic trouble code would set

Restraints Control Module Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index DTC Description Action B1869 Lamp Air Bag Warning Indicator Circuit Open Go To Pinpoint Test N . B1870 Lamp Air Bag Warning Indicator Circuit Short to Battery Go To Pinpoint Test N . All other DTCs - REFER to Section 419-10 .

The ABS light and the Airbag light are always on. I want them to turn off.

These lights being on indicate you have an ABS and Airbag problem. When any of these lights are on the relevant systems are inactive.you will have to have the codes read using a scan tool. The problems fixed and the codes erased.

Error b1034 airbag warning light

This light came on in my car when the alternator went bad. If the airbag system is not getting enough voltage it will show a warning indicator light. Check your battery and alternator to make sure they are putting out enough juice.

ABS light comes on... but no noticble degradation in operation etc.

Most likely a wheel speed sensor, hopefully... The only thing that will change when the ABS light is on is that the ABS will not function as long as the indicator is on. I hope this info helps.

When the airbag system is in functioning condition, the airbag warning light will remain on for about 7 seconds and go out when the ignition switch is set to ON .

If there is any malfunction, the airbag warning light will either stay on or off continuously. In such cases, perform on-board diagnostic in accordance with the specified procedure to determine trouble codes.

  1. Turn ignition switch ON (with engine OFF ).

  1. Connect DIAG. terminal to No.2 terminal of diagnosis connector located inside lower cover.
  2. Check in accordance with the trouble code indicated by the AIRBAG warning light, and record the trouble codes.
  3. Turn the ignition switch "OFF " and remove the DIAG. terminal from No.2 terminal of diagnosis connector.

HOW TO READ TROUBLE CODES
The ABS lamp flashes a code corresponding to the faulty parts.

The long segment (1.2 secs on) indicates a "ten", and the short segment (0.3 secs on) indicates a "one".

NOTE: This is the only information provided by the manufacturer for clearing diagnostic trouble codes.

CLEAR MEMORY
After eliminating problem as per trouble code, clear memory as follows:

Make sure ignition switch is ON (and engine off). Connect one DIAG. terminal (1) on diagnosis connector (2) terminal No.1.

where warning light is flashing, connect the other DIAG. terminal (3) on terminal No. 2 for at least three seconds . After memory is cleared, normal warning light flashing rate resumes. (Warning light flashes every 0.6 seconds (ON-OFF operation.) Memory cannot be cleared if any problem exists.

After clear memory and then DIAG. terminals (1) and (3), extract from diagnosis connector (2)

Air bag light is on and the clock is flashing what

You have probably had your battery removed? Clock you can fix by setting the time. The airbag warning light indicates that ther's a problem with your airbag. Check if the co-drivers airbag is turned on. If the light is still on, take it to the shop to be checked.

Airbag wiring fault

They wired it up wrong. The headlight circuit is totally different from the airbag indicator. If they won't fix it properly at their own expense, not just disconnect the light, contact your Consumer Protection Agency.

AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON

Te airbag warning is on to alert u to the fact that there is a problem in the airbag system and that it is disabled, it will not turn off until the problem is fixed and the in some cases the diagnostic module reset. The most common cause of airbag warning lites is the rotoating contact under the steering, it has an open circuit.
