SOURCE: how many quarts of transmission fluid takes ford

about 15 if you have a flush machine do it. If you do a drain and fill you'l only drain about half of it out. so your not really gaining anything by doing it yourself

How many quarts of trans fluid does a 2000 ford explorer v6 need

Did you check your trans dip stick? The tranny dip stick usually has a quart low mark. If this is a manual tranny, that is different, you didn't specify automatic or manual tranny?
{Automatic tranny, the spec is for dry fill, only. 10--12.7 quarts . Dry fill means not a drop of tranny fluid in the vehicle.}
You have to check proper fluid level, that is your responsibility. Your owners manual may have some of this info?

What would cause transmission to shudder first thing in the morning when you start the engine and put it in reverse on a 2004 ford explorer v8 4.6

If car has high miles, trans wear could cause this. I would try removing 1 quart of new fluid and replace with Lucas trans additive.

Replaced 2 3 sol in trans goes forward in all gears

Transmission gear assembly and transmission needs inspection. Also check the transmission fluid level. Also is the fluid getting leaked or its low.

I replaced valve body gasket on my 2001 ford explorer now it wont go in gear at all what could be the problem

Check your transmission fluid level. If you changed out the gasket more than likely you had to drain alot of fluid. Most people say 7-8 quarts but it takes more than that.

It really depends on if it is empty or not,most likely 12 quarts,but if the transmission filter is all that is being changed,it will be about 6 quarts,but check it at 4 quarts,and 5 quarts,to be sure the transmission type has a lot to do with this also.Iff this was helpful,please rate thank you.
